There was a promotion for [Red Lobster] RM100 E-Cash Voucher For All Food And Drinks at 11street.my earlier this year. I happened to get 20% discount coupons then and decided to get two e-cash vouchers.

If not for the discount, it would have been a very expensive meal as I had to spend an additional RM100 on top of the two RM100 e-cash vouchers. Overall, the food was so-so. Staff was friendly.

The consolation was this complimentary appetizer.

Just to share some good news. Two days ago, I wanted to get RM1 Coffee-of-the-Day at San Francisco Coffee using CIMB Pay and have my breakfast there.  When I ordered my egg mayo sandwich, the cashier asked, 'What card are you using?' After showing her the Master Card in my CIMB Pay app, she keyed in my order - one coffee of the day and one egg mayo sandwich.  I was surprised to see 9.00 instead of 11.00 for the TOTAL on the customer pole display. When I got the receipt, I saw ':CIMB CashBack 20 (20%) - RM2.00' for the RM10 egg mayo sandwich.

Decided to check out this 'new' restaurant the other day. Not sure why it is called Grey Stone.

Food here is not bad and price is reasonable. You must try the assam pedas fish.

This restaurant is a cool and cozy place for friends and families to dine in.

One thing is missing though - FREE WiFi.

Why do people still want to patron a restaurant famous for being unfriendly to families with children? Just blacklist it and go to PappaRich. Haha. Kidding.

I don't always go to PappaRich but whenever I go there with my wife and kid - sometimes with my parents or parents-in-law in tow - we get good service every time. Yes, some say kopitiam restaurant chains like PappaRich and Old Town are overpriced, overrated blah blah blah. I beg to differ and I find PappaRich to be quite consistent in terms of quality (I can't say the same for Old Town) and the food is not overpriced. Also, I have to remind myself that I am in an air-conditioned eatery and paying for the comfort of being in a cool place.

I had takeaways from Wan Tan Mee Sg. Besi many times before. Lately, I discovered yet another wan tan mee eatery, Shi Fu Wantan Mee Restaurant. Admittedly, I found that the former's wan tan mee was not as nice as the one latter's.

The first time I went to Poppo Kanteen two to three months ago, I quite liked its ambiance. It did have a homey feel with mounted LCD panel showing Disney cartoons, making it an almost perfect place for families with kids to dine in.

As the name suggests, the setup is like that of a canteen - with foldable hard metal chairs and stone table tops on metal legs. There is a long table with high chairs (or bar stools!) in the middle of the restaurant.

Pattaya Fried Rice: RM8.50 back in July, 2015.

Had dinner there today and ordered Kampung Fried Rice and Nyonya Fried Rice, each cost RM8.90

So, I guess, the price of all the different types of fried rice has increased since the last time I had the Pattaya Fried Rice in July 2015. It only cost RM8.50 then.

Meanwhile, last Monday, spent family time watching the movie Inside Out @ TGV Cheras Sentral. Before the movie started at 9:00 PM, we had our dinner at 21 Wok N Grill Restaurant.

The dinner for two cost RM48.50 (RM20.80 for one Black Pepper Chicken and RM20.80 for Fish n Chip plus GST 6% and Service Charge 10%). As each of our order was more than the RM12++ buffet, both of us could take the buffet as well, that is the free flow of salad, ice cream, coffee, soft drinks, fruits and whatnot. The Black Pepper Chicken and Fish N Chip were okay. The buffet 'spread' was not nice as the salad and fruits were not fresh. I rate it three stars and will never come here again.
