Report: Police breached SOP in Tung Shin incident

AS EXPECTED LAH! LIOW, DENY, LIE!

A Health Ministry probe has confirmed that the police had breached standard operating procedures (SOP) when dispersing Bersih 2.0 rally participants at the Tung Shin Hospital.

In a statement late this evening, Home Ministry chief secretary Mahmood Adam said based on the Health Ministry report, errant police personnel would be referred to the police's disciplinary committee and the investigation results concluded that there were unethical actions which were beyond the SOP of the Royal Malaysian Police when enforcement was performed on rally participants who were wrongly using the hospital premises.

According to the Health Ministry report, released today, the police water cannon was fired at demonstrators who were converging at the hospital multi-storey carpark and main gate.

Quoting from the Health Ministry report, Mahmood said, “However, this action (was taken) solely to disperse groups of protesters who were gathering at the hospital area.”

Whether the rally participants wrongly or rightly used the hospital premises, one thing is certain - they were not running afoul of the law!

SAH: Cincin RM24 juta wujud. Utk hantu Rosmah?!

Mystery witness is Saiful's former collegemate

9:21AM Oct 4 | 14
LIVE REPORTS Mohd Najwan Halimi says he was in Uniten with Saiful, and stayed in the dorm next to the complainant.

NONE11.22am - 11.33am:
Mohd Najwan b Halimi (in photo with Anwar) is called and says he is working as aide to Anwar in his capacity as Selangor economic advisor. Witness, Mohd Najwan, has known Saiful since 2003, and stayed at the dorm next to his in Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten).

Mohd Najwan says, "Saiful is an active student and has leadership qualities. Saiful and I terlibat program Baktisiswa (were involved in the Baktisiswa programme) *Note: The Baktisiswa programme was launched by then- home minister Syed Hamid Albar. Saiful was deputy president of the programme, and secretary of Majlis Pimpinan Pelajar (Student Leaders Council).* He has leadership. But he likes to gain publicity."
Najwan says he has seen photos of Saiful with many BN leaders, including Syed Hamid Albar, Mustapa Mohamed and Azalina Said Othman when he looked at Saiful's Friendster social network page and in 2008, Saiful put that he is a supporter of BN and declared (that) Anwar is a munafik.

NONENajwan says he saw Saiful at a political ceramah and maintains Saiful campaigned for BN in 2008.

Witness denies that Saiful idolised Anwar as per his testimony, saying, "He (Saiful) hates Anwar."

11.34am - 11.48am: Najwan is being cross-examined by Yusof.

He says he has worked with PKR's Seri Setia state assemblyperson Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, the Transport Ministry, and in UiTM before.
Witness agrees with Yusof suggests it is not odd to post pictures with minister.

11.39am: Najwan denies that what he said about Saiful is speculation and says that he saw a description of Anwar as a munafiq (hypocrite) in Saiful's Friendster which he (Saiful) had entered himself.

"I was surprised why he worked with Anwar, as he hated Anwar."
Yusof asks how often do you discuss about politics with Saiful and Najwan answers, "It is something I cannot answer, as it can be over a meal. Saiful said that Anwar cannot be trusted, and that we need to support the BN government."
In replying to Sankara, Najwan says that he described Saiful's character based on his experience with the later.

Court to resume on Thursday.

Umno leaders rebut Dr M's appraisal

Umno leaders today rebutted former prime minister Mahathir Mohamad's claim that BN and in particular Umno, was unprepared for the next general election.

When contacted by Malaysiakini today, Cheras Umno division chief Syed Ali Alhabshee said, "We are ready, all divisions are ready, when prime minister (Najib Abdul Razak) says go, we will go."

mahathir responses to suaram report 02Mahathir (right) had yesterday said that if BN faced an election now, its chances of winning were slim due to factional infighting within Umno and was quoted as saying, "When the Umno president announces a candidate (for the general election), there always will be protests, supposedly that the candidate is wrong. And if someone else is chosen, the ones that were not picked will sabotage the chosen candidate."

Syed Ali said that this however should not be construed as something that would cause BN's defeat.

52 Types of Blog Posts that Are Proven to Work

52 Types of Blog Posts that Are Proven to Work

This guest post is by Karol K of Online Business Design blog.
Blogging is not only about putting together 400-2,000 words of text and publishing them on your WordPress site. As a blogger, you can choose from a much bigger variety of possible blog post types (and content in general).
Let me be honest and admit that I’ve wanted to compile this sort of list for a long time. Coming up with new ideas for posts every couple of days might lead you to a hard stop on a brick wall very quickly… I believe writer’s block is the more politically correct name for such a situation.
One of the most effective ways of fighting writer’s block is having a big resource file, containing lots of ideas and frameworks for new posts. Besides, writing standard, old-school blog posts can get boring very quickly. That’s why every blogger needs some variety in terms of content if they want to be doing this for a longer period of time.
This list is divided into a couple of sections depending on the purpose and characteristics of each content type. Feel free to treat it as a resource file ≠ñ you don’t have to go through the whole list at once.

WHO CAN TRUST UMNO-LINKED PRESS? NONE

Fresh from pursuing a case against the Umno-linked Utusan Malaysia in the Penang High Court today, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng now plans to sue two more newspapers.

NONE
They are New Straits Times (NST) and Mingguan Malaysia in relation to their reports on an alleged dinner meeting in Singapore with several senior leaders of the People's Action Party.
The dinner was also reportedly attended by a Malaysia Airlines board director, Mohamad Azman Yahya and businessman Kalimullah Hassan who have already denied the reports published yesterday.

The reports quoted Perkasa information chief Ruslan Kasim as urging the three - Lim, Mohamad Azman and Kalimullah - to clear the air over the matter in the interests of the country.

However, Ruslan has since said that he had been misquoted in his statement to NST on Saturday and

Ruslan said what he said was that Azman should answer allegations that he has information on a secret meeting between Lim and PAP's top leaders during a dinner on Aug 12 in Singapore that was also attended by Kalimullah.

He also urged the trio to clarify if the topics discussed during the alleged meeting had involved Malaysian's national security.

Today, after a long, long time, I took a taxi home.

As the taxi was approaching the yet-to-be-demolished 50 sen toll structure, its driver, an Indian man, slowed down and was getting ready to pay toll.

I told him, 'No need to pay toll.'

'Oh, no need to pay toll?' he asked in a surprised tone.

I answered him in the affirmative and told him that the election was coming soon - hence, the government had abolished it.

'They always like that, gimmick. They think they can fool us,' he said.

I nodded my head and said, 'They can only bluff those kampung people.'

'Oh no. Nowadays, these kampung fellows are smart unlike last time. Now there's the Internet and they know how to Internet,' the taxi driver said matter-of-factly.

Well, I couldn't agree with him more.
