Two days ago, independent Bayan Baru member of parliament Zahrain Mohamed Hashim revealed in the Dewan Rakyat that Anwar had convinced opposition MPs that the Agong was waiting to confirm the number of BN MPs joining the opposition.

The prime minister said he believed the people were now aware of the lies being spread by the opposition and their huge ambition to rule the country.

At an exclusive interview with Malaysiakini at his office in Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur recently, when asked whether he now saw himself as a fashion trendsetter with his appearance on Harper's, Khairy, 34, an Oxford graduate, told Malaysiakini that he does not think much about fashion and does not see himself as projecting an image of what youth should wear, he neither thinks much nor plans what he wants to wear and he is just like any normal person.

"Come on... I also have some gray strands in my beard," he laughed and continued laughing and then asked in mock incredulity: "Hey, are you guys really from Malaysiakini?' when asked as to his taste in fashion and whether he had a certain preference.

Hindraf has initiated a global campaign for opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim beginning with an Early Day Motion (EDM) in the British Parliament.

Malaysiakini was tipped off on the EDM by Suresh Grover who heads The Monitoring Group, a human rights organisation in Britain and Northern Ireland. Anwar's people, according to Grover, approached Hindraf chair P. Waythamoorthy to do something for him and the latter suggested an EDM filed through an MP.

Jeremy Corbyn, Labour MP for Islington, North London, who will introduce the EDM, said he was approached by Waythamoorthy. "We are 100 per cent for Anwar. He's a good man badly treated by the Malaysian Government," said Corbyn yesterday in a telephone interview with Malaysiakini.

Zahrain's Crossover Claim a 'Tall Tale', Says Tengku Razaleigh

KOTA BAHARU, March 19 (Bernama) -- Gua Musang Member of Parliament Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah today dismissed as a tall tale a claim that he was among eight Barisan Nasional (BN) MPs set to cross over to enable the opposition form the federal government in 2008.

"I do not want to comment on it. I have been with Umno for 48 years. The claim is a tall tale," he told reporters.

Independent MP for Bayan Baru Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim had named the eight BN MPs in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday, claiming that they had been set to cross over on Sept 16, 2008.

Tengku Razaleigh said that if indeed the claim was true, he would now be holding a senior position in the opposition Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR). Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is the PKR de facto leader.

In making the claim yesterday, Zahrain, formerly of PKR, had named Datuk Seri Abdul Ghapur Salleh (BN-Kalabakan), Datuk Seri Anifah Aman (BN-Kimanis), Datuk Bung Moktar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan), Datuk Chua Soon Bui (Bebas-Tawau), Datuk Enchin Majimbun (Bebas-Sepanggar), Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi (BN-Batu Pahat) and Datuk Seri Tengku Azlan Sultan Abu Bakar (BN-Jerantut) and said the eighth MP was one of the deputy speakers of the Dewan Rakyat.

Tengku Razaleigh also denied that he had been approached and coaxed to join PKR to enable the opposition to form the federal government about seven months after the general election in 2008.

"I'm not for sale and not available. If the claim is true, I would have been a leader in PKR," he said.

Ku Li is more capable and experienced than the present Members of Parliament. He formed Semangat 46 after Umno was banned in 1988. So, yes, why would he need to sell himself? He could form his own party again instead of joining PKR.

Ok, so now Selangor Sultan has distanced himself from Ibrahim Ali. Replacing Sultan Selangor in opening the inaugural assembly of Perkasa is Dr M, the Malay ultra.

 

Like Anwar, Dr M is also a political chameleon.

 

In the meantime, Ka Ting said he was no messiah for MCA though he did say that with his experience, he could unite and stabilise MCA. So, what if MCA is 'united and stabilise'? Do the leaders of MCA have the politicial will to fight for the marginalised Chinese? The answer is no because Chinese being Chinese, they only care for their own survival - the Ong Dynasty, Chua Dynasty, Ling Dynasty, Liow Dynasty, Lim Dynasty etcetera etcetera etcetera.

BREAKING NEWS The vernacular paper has suspended its editor-in-chief Teoh Yong Khoon for two weeks, effective immediatedly, for publishing an 'inaccurate report' on the resignation of the police chief.

The slap on the wrist for Teoh came a day after the government announced that no action would be taken against the newspaper for its front-page report last Saturday that alleged that inspector-general of police Musa was to quit later this month but the ministry demanded that internal disciplinary action be taken against those responsible for the report.
