Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today played down his own ministry's estimates that Malaysia would be bankrupt by 2019, should the government fail to cut its burgeoning subsidy bills.
Najib, commenting on the Performance and Management and Delivery Unit (Pemandu) chief Idris Jala's speech this morning, said figures quoted were merely based on the agency's studies and there is no firm decision by the government.
Yeah, right. Mr. Umno-appointed PM. Figures merely projections based on studies by Pemandu. I believe the figures are not conservative figures. Pemandu just plucked them from the sky!
