PTPTN: No loan freeze. BN CANNOT take the heat!
The National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) has backed down on its freeze
on student loans to two Selangor government-run institutions - Universiti Selangor (Unisel) and Selangor International Islamic
University College (Kuis).
Unisel was informed
of this earlier today, and students can apply for the loans starting
tonight.
In a posting at about
11.40am today, a tweet by Umno Youth's PTPTN roundtable also confirmed that the freeze has been lifted, said, "Good
news! For the sake of the rakyat, PTPTN has agreed to disburse loans to
Unisel students. Please spread the news!"
Earlier, PTPTN had applied a temporary freeze on loans for Unisel and Kuis students, as a challenge to Pakatan Rakyat's claim that they would be able to provide free education should the opposition coalition come to power while Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin admitted yesterday that the freeze was a test for PKR to prove it can implement its free education proposal.

Politicans
and students alike have slammed the government for being “immature” and called the move by the BN government to use the student loan as a
political weapon “repulsive”.

WWW 15: If free, why bid, why waive? Lie not, Liow
A Road Transport Department (JPJ) officer revealed that Health Minister
Liow Tiong Lai can write an appeal letter to the Transport Minister or
JPJ Director-General to waive his bidding payment for the 'WWW15' car
plate number.
Though yesterday Liow revealed that he had received word from the Road
Transport Department (RTD) that he need not pay the RM24,200 bidding
price he had offered, as the number is "free", it is still not known whether or not Liow has written to the authority for the waiver.
According to a report in today's Sin Chew Daily, a Federal Territory JPJ public relations officer explained that once Liow (left) succeeds in his bid for the plate number he can write in to get his payment waived and was quoted as saying, "Only the Transport Minister and Director-General have the power to approve his request. Paying or not depends on whether the owner of WWW15 plate number has
written to request for waiver."The current Transport Minister is Kong Cho Ha, who is also the secretary-general of MCA, while Liow is its deputy president.

Why Sultan so stupid, says RPK. Liow got it FREE
Three days after the Sultan Johor won the tender for the WWW 1 vehicle number plate, Raja Petra Kamarudin wrote an article entitled 'Why is the Sultan so stupid?'
Today, Liow said, 'RTD gave ‘WWW 15 for free.'
Why Liow has to lie again to put the Sultan in a bad light?
The Sultan had to pay at least half a million ringgit but Liow got it for FREE?!
What a royal insult!
