Kesibukan berkhidmat untuk rakyat membuatkan isteri perdana menteri Rosmah Mansor tidak lagi mempunyai masa untuk melayan hobinya sendiri.

Perkara itu diluahkannya ketika berucap dalam sebuah majlis perasmian Hari Kraf Kebangsaan 2014 di Kompleks Kraf di Kuala Lumpur hari ini.

"Semua telah diambil (rakyat) dari saya termasuk masa saya, hobi saya.

"Saya sampai tiada masa untuk bermain badminton sekarang.
Saya hanya luangkan masa untuk rakyat," katanya.

Kritik batik 'gunung berapi'

Sementara itu, Rosmah juga menyarankan pengusaha batik agar lebih peka dengan tema terkini supaya corak yang dihasilkan lebih menarik dan tidak seperti “tsunami” mahupun “gunung berapi”.

Katanya, yang mempunyai citarasa batik berwarna cerah keadaan itu akan menarik minat pembeli luar negara.

"Saya akan selalu bagi cadangan kepada pembekal batik, sesiapa nak bekal batik untuk saya bagilah warna cerah, tapi janganlah serabut macam 'tsunami' pun ada.

"Tema 'tsunami', 'gunung berapi' itu bukan sesuatu yang baik untuk dipandang orang.

"Kenalah bercorak sangat menarik, sejuk mata orang nak pandang lagi dan lagi terutama kepada pelanggan luar negara,” katanya.

Rosmah juga menasihatkan pembekal supaya selalu meneliti laman web bagi mengikuti warna dan corak terkini.

Seldom eat out but once I happened to go to this restaurant or coffee shop (also known locally as kopitiam), Restoran Kopi Tiga Dua Lapan and struck up a conversation with a regular customer. He said this kopitiam unlike others around Taman Midah, did not do business for profiteering. I agreed with him because the few times I went there in year 2012/13 the price for fried rice or noodle was RM6.

The last time I went there was two or three weeks ago, there was a price increase of 50 sen.

Perhaps the price might be increased when this kopitiam reopens for business this Chinese New Year 2014.
