It doesn't matter whether CSL "spoke up" for East Malaysians or he is quoted out of context. Point is, he has no moral right to defend the East Malaysians or even Malaysians for that matter. While in public office, he committed a crime punishable under Section 377A of the Malaysian Penal Code.
