RAWANG (June 19, 2012): It was a case of bad
timing by three Indonesian burglars who tried to break into a house at
Taman Templer Saujana just when police were conducting a crime
prevention operation in the area early today
.
The suspects, who were later gunned down by police in a shoot-out, arrived in a car at the main road opposite the house of a building contractor at about 4am.

The suspects, who were later gunned down by police in a shoot-out, arrived in a car at the main road opposite the house of a building contractor at about 4am.
While the driver remained seated in the getaway car, his two
accomplices armed with handtools jumped over the fence of their targeted
house and tried to break in.
Several police detectives who were on patrol in the area became
suspicious upon seeing the getaway car and went over to investigate.
However, on seeing the detectives, the two burglars ran out of the
house compound, got into their getaway car and sped off with the police
team pursuing them in an unmarked vehicle.
The foreigners had barely travelled a kilometre when the driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed.
Selangor police CID chief SAC II Mohd Adnan Abdullah said gunshots
rang out soon after the car came to a halt and the detectives took cover
before returning fire.
In the ensuing shoot-out, all three robbers were killed and two handguns were recovered at the scene, he said.
The houseowner was asleep throughout the drama and oblivious to the attempted break-in until he was alerted of it by the police.
It is learnt that while two of the foreigners had valid passports,
the third man was a registered candidate of the 6P amnesty programme
where the government offered to legalise illegal workers in the country.
