By-election fever: The voters speak

  • As the clock ticks down for Tuesday's by-election, the fever in Manek Urai is increasing. Malaysiakini reads the temperature of several voters.MORE
  • 'Young need development'
    Between faith and education
One voter commented:
Certainly, I want to change to 'daching' (Barisan Nasional). I want to see more infrastructure development, like schools proper drainage within this kampung and better roads. The roads here are narrow and had been built during (former deputy premier) Ghafar Baba's time. We also want an elected representative who is close to the people. Despite, being a minority group here, we do not feel isolated as we are all Malaysians right. So short-sighted. Only want this and that. Must think if 'daching' is balanced or not lah. Is the rise in the cost of living in tandem with the increase in income? Obviously, the answer is a no. So, where is the quality of life for all of us Malaysians?
