Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng revealed the influx of voters today during a press conference that was attended by Abdul Malik and Deputy Chief Minister Mansor Othman.
Lim said that in the past, there would usually be increases of about 10,000 new voters,
but the triple jump in figures was "suspicious" and raised concerns
"that there may be fraud".
Lim said that the general
election was approaching and the increase in voters of about 200-400 was acceptable but queried how to win when now there was an increase of three times (the amount).
