Only Umno matters. Not MCA, MIC nor PPP - www.malaysiakini.com

In an interview with The Sun recently, Abdullah said, "I should have started these (reforms) earlier," he admitted, but later conceded that "if Umno doesn’t want me, what can the 90% do?" when the interviewers opined that he had not capitalised on the 90% mandate he received in the 2004 polls to push for his reforms.

Today, in Malaysiakini, he told PPP off, saying,
"We have no plans to amend (the ISA)... if that is their choice (to leave), what can we do," he told a press conference after chairing the BN supreme council meeting at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur. Last week, PPP president M Kayveas had urged the government to amend the security law before the next general elections, failing which, he warned that his party will pull out of the ruling coalition. After Pak Lah got the 90% mandate, he said he was the PM for all Malaysians. Now we know 90% Umno support for him is paramount. 9% from all other BN component parties. 1% from the rakyat.
