KARPAL-ALI SAMA GANG. BOTH VICTIMS OF SELECTIVE PROSECUTION

>>> No 2 hopeful 'singled out' for punishment

PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim described the disbarment of Mohd Ali Rustam from contesting in next week’s Umno elections as not only confirmation of the prevalence of money politics in the party but also of selective prosecution when action is taken to combat the scourge.

parliament 170209 anwar ibrahim“Must we be surprised that a contestant for the number two post is deemed to have engaged in money politics?” mused Anwar in remarks to Malaysiakini.

“We cannot be surprised because we know the practice is entrenched in Umno and Ali Rustam’s disbarment is merely an instance of selective prosecution,” he commented.

“His disbarment will do nothing to combat the scourge of money politics for the entire party is steeped in the culture. Ali Rustam is being singled out because he is not in the deputy prime minister’s camp,” he elaborated.

Anwar claimed that the Umno’s disciplinary committee is stacked with DPM Najib Razak’s men and “in the event they act against the corrupt they do so at the expense of people not allied to their master’s camp.”
>>> Bar Council defends Karpal's action
Ragunath, in a statement today, reiterated the Bar Council’s steadfast view that the Sedition Act 1948 “is a draconian and archaic piece of legislation that undermines democratic institutions and is an absolute affront to democracy” and called for its repeal.

The prosecution of Karpal Singh will be widely perceived as being selective and an attempt to pacify the partisan calls from certain influential section within Umno who are pushing for his prosecution. They have even outrageously called for the revocation of his citizenship.”

Ragunah, who was elected Bar Council chairperson last week, said he was “shocked and troubled” by the government’s action against Karpal, and urged the attorney-general to withdraw the sedition charge.

“We urge the government to demonstrate its commitment to the rule of law and to democratic processes by encouraging open discourse on issues of concern to the Malaysian public.

“Any attempt to stifle public opinion by resorting to the Act is a sure act of regression that is antithetical to democratic principles.”

BN/UMNO Execrable, attempts a clean-up yet the puss keeps surfacing. This is a corps that needs amputation after all; the anti-bodies are all dead even the operating courts Ops! theater is infested with insanities’. Here’s the remedy: MIC has to be chopped off, PPP warrant some serious dosage of antiseptic and viral flushing and the MCA beginning with its tongue eye ears and testicles could do with some strict bandaging and isolation least they burst into a smelly and violent mucus as they normally do come every GA. As for UMNO quarantine without exception, don’t even announce it, and decapitate this syndrome like scabies and anything (One) near IT. We got rid of polio TB typhoid but dengue and UMNO are as stubborn as any plague, worst than the ravages during a civil war. This BN corps exudes as Dr M returns to his practice, this time gloves off as everyone is definitely infected-there goes the understatement-Infected you said? I have no sympathy. BN/UMNO must never mutate not in this life.
