Why is Ahmad Rejal placing so much emphasis on upholding the national language? So what if Egypt or any other country has a national language that everyone upholds?
According to Wikipedia, Arabic is the national language of Egypt and everyone speaks Arabic though there are variations. Probably, it is like what we have here in Malaysia. Malay is the national language but we have different variations of it. E.g. Kelate, a variation of spoken Malay.
Right now, the world is witnessing an uprising of the people in Egypt against Hosni Mubarak's military regime.
So, you see. It's not about the national language. It's about the the ruling regime that is oppressing the masses. If there is equality and economic progress for the people, then the country is stable. Look at successful Singapore!
