UPDATED 5.55PM A stage set up for a Selangor government event was dismantled by the police for ‘security reasons’. However today evening, the police gave permission for the function to proceed - but no stage was allowed.
Selangor Exco Xavier Jayakumar said that the police said the event could be a “security threat” as Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is making a visit to Batu Caves in commemoration of the festival.
Xavier said that the police act is politically motivated. Oh well! Obviously!
