The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission today confirmed that it has opened a file into Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's controversial RM5 million "let's make a deal" remark in Sibu last week which many had claimed violated election rules against bribing and told reporters when met after the press conference that the commission will be calling in witnesses to record their statement on the matter.
MACC chief Abu Kassim Mohamed told reporters at a press conference in Petaling Jaya that the anti-graft body has received complaints about the PM's campaign speech and are investigating the incident and its investigations director Mustafar Ali also confirmed that a file had been opened on the matter.
We will see if MACC is truly apolitical in investigating this open file. Will it end up as another NFA file??
