The one-and-only MP disrespectful to Chong, the foul-mouthed Ibrahim Ali!!

PARLIAMENT Opposition MPs today said they felt "utter disgust" with Ibrahim Ali (Ind-Pasir Mas), who allegedly did not stand up and continued talking on the phone as the House stood in one-minute silence as a sign of respect for Batu Sapi MP Edmund Chong Ket Wah.

PAS' Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad said the Perkasa president was being disrespectful and "deliberately provocative", and warned that the opposition bench may move a motion to reprimand Ibrahim while Johari Abdul (PKR-Sungai Petani) noted that not only was Ibrahim disrespectful to Chong, who died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, but the independent MP also did not heed the speaker's orders and went against House rules which prohibits the use of handphones.
In a SMS text message to Malaysiakini late this evening, Ibrahim claimed that allegations against him were untrue, saying, "I stood up. I was a bit late. Not even one second (late). To say I didn't stand up to show respect is a big lie."

Ibrahim's antics also earned him condemnation from the government bench, in form of Deputy Education Minister Wee Ka Siong who wrote on his Twitter page, "I'm disappointed with the controversial MP, neither from BN or Pakatan, who kept talking on the phone when the house was showing respect to the deceased MP. An MP must show respect to his deceased colleague without looking at one's skin colour."

Ibrahim Ali is not only a disgrace to his own race but also to the human race!
