Selina Jen compares her burn injuries to labour pain
The disastrous fire accident left an indelible mark on Selina Jen’s life who said that she would rather have “10 children” in-exchange for her fire injuries
The S.H.E starlet who suffered third degree burns on 30% of her body is in such pain, she would rather experience labour pains 10 times over rather than deal with her burn injuries.
According to fellow bandmate Hebe Tien, Selina, who once talked about her fear for "labour pains," now says that she "would rather give birth 10 times than go through such scary burn injuries."
Instead of worrying over sustaining scars from her burn injuries, Selina has never pondered over this matter and said, "Beauty and appearance cannot help me go through this hurdle. The most important is my mentality. Being pretty in the past was something I once had, if I were to have scars in future, then that will be a mark of my life."
At a M.A.C charity event held yesterday, Hebe updated the press present on Selina's current condition and shared that Selina's body and face is covered in gauze dressing. Hebe also mentioned that Selina talks like a little child now and is either having her dressings changed or in a dazed state.
Despite her immobility due to the painful injuries, Hebe shared that Selina still insists on feeding herself at meal times and would persist even if the food drops from the spoon.

Selina Jen discharges from hospital after 89 days
The Taiwanese pop star appeared alongside her father, S.H.E band mates, company rep and the doctors behind her recovery
I can finally go home now, gushed S.H.E member Selina Jen when she met the media for the first time since her on-set accident 89 days ago.
It has truly been an arduous journey for the Taiwanese popstar who was severely burnt in the accident while filming I Have a Date with Spring. She's had had to go through three rounds of skin grafts after 54 per cent of her body was burnt.
Selina was supposed to be discharged tomorrow initially. However, at 11am today, her management company HIM International announced that the media conference had been brought forward and would happen at 2pm today, at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.
As the media congregated at the hospital, Selina made her way on stage with band mates Ella and Hebe. She was all covered up in casual sportswear and a vest, save for her face, and she wore gloves on her hands.
Selina's trademark long hair, kept since she made her debut in showbiz 10 years ago, was also replaced by a short, crew cut. Despite the light makeup she had on, scars were still visible on her face.
Once on stage, Selina broke down.
"Thank you everyone. I'm sorry for causing worry. I can finally go home now," said the excited 29-year-old.
The trio then said 'hi' as a group. The long-awaited greeting moved everyone in the room.
Selina held a smile on her face during the media conference.
The singer first thanked the doctors and nurses who had been taking care of her, describing them as "angels". Selina burst into tears when she thanked her family. She also said thank you to her fiancé Richard Chang.
Selina then thanked her record company, the media, her fans and celebrity friends, expressing that their blessings had come true.
Band mate Ella added that the road to recovery is still long and hoped that everyone will give Selina space to rest. Hebe then described Selina as her SHERO, and would look up to her by becoming braver.
At the end of the media conference, Selina cut a cake presented to her by the hospital staff with much effort, before giving hugs to the doctors and her father. She was then led off stage by Ella and Hebe.
Father Jen, the company's representative and the doctors stayed behind to answer media queries.
