Lim's 'incitement' nothing compared to Ibrahim's damn seditious statement

Penang Gerakan Youth vice-chief H'ng Khoon Leng has accused Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng of trying to incite Buddhists through his recent Wesak Day message and wants police to take stern action.

NONEH'ng (right), who claims to be a practising Buddhist, also accused Lim of attempting to incite members of other faiths as well, including Christians and Hindus and lodged a police report against Lim at the Jalan Patani station yesterday, accompanied by Gerakan Youth member Ooi Shyh Kheng.

Claiming to be acting in his personal capacity, H'ng said he decided to take Lim to task after his message was posted in Facebook. Part of the message stated: "Even though Christians, and not Buddhists, are targeted by Umno and Utusan Malaysia this time, what is there to stop Buddhists and Hindus from being the next targets in the future?"

In his report, H'ng said this irresponsible and ill-intentioned statement was meant to create trouble among non-Muslims, Umno and Utusan, which represent a large section of the Malay community and could jeopardise the relationship between the Muslims and non-Muslims.
