According to an MCA leader, the level of support among the party delegates for Ong is 20%, Liow 30% and Chua 50%.
The party is literally divided into at least four political forces - one group is headed by incumbent president Ong Tee Keat, another by deputy president Dr Chua Soi Lek, the third by vice-president Liow Tiong Lai and lastly, the fourth is linked to former president Ong Ka Ting and his elder brother Ong Ka Chuan.
According to Puchong MCA division vice-chairman Theng Book, Chua has the biggest support, with at least one third of the party delegates behind him while the other delegates were very much divided.
