JOHOR BAHARU, July 10 (Bernama) -- Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri
Ismail Omar has reminded certain groups to stop inciting the people through the
short messaging service (SMS), twitter and facebook in retaliation for the
failure of the illegal rally, Bersih 2.0, in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
He said such acts were most dangerous and could lead to chaos and thus
should be stopped immediately.
"We urge the people to think wisely and participate in maintaining national
peace. This responsibility does not lie with the police alone," he said.
He said this to reporters after the presentation of Accreditation
Certificates to trainees of the Police Undergraduate Voluntary Corps at the
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), here today.
A total of 1,024 trainees received the accreditation involving 19 public
institutions of higher learning throughout the country.
He said after the presentation ceremony that police had released 1,667
people on police bail for being involved in the rally.
He said investigation papers would be opened against them and follow-up
action would be taken.

There's NO need to retaliate.
The Truth is everybody knows The Truth.
