The deputy inspector-general of police Ismail Omar came out in defense for detaining blogger RPK, reporter Tan and MP Teresa under ISA.
Like an old tape recorder, he explained that the decision to use the tough security law, which allows detention without trial, was based on intelligence and observation that certain acts by the individuals concerned were detrimental to the well-being of the nation. (Source: Malaysiakini)
Based on intelligence? Why is the police not intelligent enough to detain Ahmad Ismail?
Why don't the police spend more time catching potential rapists and robbers? Why not spend more time gathering intelligence to prevent crimes like kidnappers of kids?
Have the police found the murderer/kidnapper of Nurin until today? Not enough intelligence, ah?
