How good is your English?

Forwarded email. I couldn't google anything that debunked this true story. In fact, I came across a site that talks about it. Check it out here.

Read and laugh!

This is a true story from the Japanese Embassy in USA

A few years ago, Prime Minister Mori was given some Basic
English conversation training before he visited Washington and
met president Bill Clinton.

The instructor told Mori: 'Prime Minister, when you shake
hand with President Clinton, please say, 'How are you?'
Then Mr. Clinton should say, ' I am fine, and you?'
Now you should say, 'Me too.'
Afterwards we, translators, will do all the work for you.'
...............................................................................................
It looks quite simple, but the truth is....

When Mori met Clinton, he mistakenly said 'Who are you?'
Mr. Clinton was a bit shocked but still managed to react with humour:
'Well, I am Hillary's husband, ha..ha..ha..'
Then Mori replied confidently 'Me too, ha..ha..ha..'
Then there was a long silence in the meeting room.

Kok's home: Third target for petrol bombs this year - www.malaysiakini.com

Source from Malaysiakini:
In May this year, petrol bombs thrown at DAP HQ in Ipoh.

In early August, Molotov cocktails were thrown unto the former residence of Bar Council president S Ambiga after the controversial forum on inter-marriages.

Today, petrol bombs attack on Kok's home.

Obviously, the three targets mentioned above must have been politically or religiously motivated.

Doesn't the police have intelligence for these three cases??? Aren't petrol bombers terrorists? I think the ISA can be used effectively to detain any suspected petrol bombers. Come on police. Start your catch now. Stop preying on easy victims like Raja Petra, Teresa Kok and the Chinese reporter.

Ok, this piece of news is certainly False. It's worth a good laugh nonetheless.

I googled for 'dagmar andersson'. Check out:

snopes.com: Working with Idiots Can Kill You!

Lactogen 1 is safe to drink - visit www.moh.gov.my

Lactophobia is still prevalent. Thanks to the 'melamine-milk' scare that started from China.

My mother-in-law called and asked in an urgent tone, 'What milk is Janson drinking? Dumex...Nestle...'

As soon as she hit Nestle, I said, 'Nestle! Lactogen 1!' Relieved to hear that, she further stressed that only Dumex, Nestle and MeadJohnson milk products were safe. Then, she directed me to the website of Ministry of Health for more information.

I paid a visit to the website. Needless to say, there is a main site purely dedicated - a 'Bilik Gerakan Melamine'. In English, Melamine Operative Room.

Personally, I think there is a need to be cautious but not too cautious. Say 'NO' to lactophobia!

Pak Lah's fate err...hanging in the balance - www.malaysiakini.com

Pak Lah still undecided.

Though the Umno supreme council has put off party polls and its AGM to March 2009, Pak Lah may still want to defend his president post. He has two weeks to decide before the divisions begin their meetings on Oct 9. (S0urce: Malaysiakini)

If Pak Lah decides to defend, his fate lies in the quota of 58 divisions. Will he get it?

At press conference, he fumbled when asked on why the party polls had to be delayed to March next year. “Err... memberi apa... apa perkataan tadi... laluan.. (Err... give what... what’s the word just now... way...),” he said, before turning to Najib, who whispered “to facilitate an early transition”. (Source: Malasiakini)
Hmm...I really wish they hadn't push Pak Lah so hard...just stick to the 2010 plan. Poor Pak Lah!

Abdullah to take a loooong leave - Malaysiakini

Umno to hold emergency meeting, Malaysiakini reported. Umno sources had earlier told Malaysiakini the two main items on tomorrow’s agenda would be the controversial 2010 power transition plan and the postponement of the party’s annual general assembly, currently slated for Dec 16 to 20.

They also said Abdullah was likely to take long leave, perhaps for a month, from Oct 8 or 9 onwards to refresh himself before returning to prepare Najib for the premiership and party presidency.

Hmm...is this the game plan to delay or to stall the 'takeover' plan?

Can a motion and vote of no-confidence be made if the PM is on leave and absent from Parliament?

MAD Day

I'm alone @ helpdesk.

So many calls. Crazy!

God, please help me.

It's a MAD Day.

Nevertheless, I hope to Make A Difference.

Thank You, Jesus.

'I appeal to all Malaysians...be a bit more patient...' - www.malaysiakini.com

On Sept 16 at work, one of my colleagues exclaimed, 'Sept 16, what happened? Nothing happened!" Frankly, my hope was high, expecting something solid rather than rhetoric from Anwar on Sept 16.

Nothing happened. True in a sense that no takeover of government. How do I feel now? A bit disillusioned, no doubt. Disappointed? Yes. Despair? No.

I still hope that the winds of change will sweep through this nation. Who would have thought that one day, the wall of Berlin would finally come down?

Today, Anwar appealed to Malaysian citizens, particularly those who wanted to see a change, to understand this and be a bit more patient because Pakatan Rakyat did not want to transgress the constitution, rules and procedures. (Source: Malaysiakini) That's a wise move and if it takes time, it's really worth the wait! Yes, I will be a bit more patient...

Is the ACA a 'covert' agency? - www.malaysiakini.com

Is the ACA a 'covert' agency for those in the corridor of power or is it truly an independent Anti-Corruption Agency?

There was an ACA report against Abdullah, Najib (Source: Malaysiakini) for alleged abuse of power since August 5. Any investigation done until now? Hmm...the question should be, 'Has investigation started in the first place?' The Star Online today says 'ACA investigating politicians over party hopping', obviously referring to the crossing over of MPs to Pakatan Rakyat. Why does ACA seem so swift to act in this case while it did nothing about the secret Umno-Pas talks not too long ago?

Is ACA trying to divert attention from the latest 'leak' from ex-Sabah Progressive Party(Sapp) deputy chief Raymond Tan who claimed that he stopped Abdullah who wanted ACA to arrest Yong after the Sapp president spearheaded a no-confidence vote against the premier? (Source: Malaysiakini)

Ahmad Ismail's suspension has not taken effect!!! - www.malaysiakini.com

In a press conference today, Penang Umno came out in full support for Pak Lah and urged the division leaders to honour the 2010 power transition plan. Penang Umno liaison committee deputy chairperson Abdul Rashid Abdullah said it was wrong for party leaders or members to question the plan since the supreme council - Umno's highest decision making body - endorsed it. (Malaysiakini)

Guess who else was at the press conference? The suspended Ahmad Ismail! Malaysiakini reported: Abdul Rashid clarified that Ahmad, who has since been appointed Bukit Bendera adviser, was allowed to attend because his suspension had not taken effect since he has yet to receive an official letter on the matter.

Wow!!! Adviser? Ok, I won't comment on that but The Star Online did say on Sept 10 regarding Ahmad Ismail:
The suspension is effective immediately.

Something I want to buy...

'There's something I want to buy but I can't remember...,' I told my wife as we were going up the escalator to Tesco Extra.

She started shopping for her stuff while I started to recall what I wanted to buy - something important but not urgent.

Then, she asked me to go and get the basket. So, I went to the entrance and got one.

On my way back to meet her, I just prayed, "Holy Spirit, please remind me what I wanted to buy..." I took a few more steps. Then, I had the urge to stop. My head turned right. Something caught my attention.

*TING* It was exactly the thing that I was trying so hard to remember to buy! What was it?

for my car battery - one cell is going to dry up!

Five is enough for Samy - www.malaysiakini.com

While many are calling for the release of all ISA detainees, Samy is only concerned for the Hindraf 5. Doesn't he think that the rest detained under ISA deserve to be released as well? Why only Hindraf 5? Is it for his personal political survival?

Malaysiakini reported:
Samy Vellu said many Barisan Nasional "die-hards" among the Indian community had voted for the opposition in the last general election as they felt that the five Hindraf leaders had been detained unjustly.

Dear Samy still doesn't get it. Neither does Ong Ka Ting who said MCA to continue speaking up for Chinese in The Star Online. The Mar 8 general election proved that most Malaysians have rejected race-based politics. I wouldn't give a hoot even if the wakil rakyat in my constituency is a PAS guy as long as he genuinely serves the rakyat and is fair to all.

Happy Sunday but don't forget to pray...

Sunday, a day of rest.

While we unwind, let us remember the 'king'. Raja Petra.

Regardless of our beliefs, send our prayers to the BIG GUY up there.

Now you know why!

COMING SOON: In remembrance of 'Reformasi 1998' - a Malaysiakini production

I just can't wait for Malaysiakini production - In remembrance of 'Reformasi 1998'. It is a mini-documentary scheduled to be released this coming Wednesday, 24th September!

Where was I in September 1998?

I was just a bloke unaware of the political state at that time. All I knew was the hoo-ha about Anwar and his supporters taking to the street with shouts of 'Reformasi' and his sodomy case. The mainstream media did a good job. I was convinced that Anwar was the bad guy.

Forward 10 years.

Now I'm fully convinced (I'm sure many Malaysians too!) that we need more than 'Reformasi'. We need a change of government. The time is NOW!

Baby put on a neubilizer

DAULAT TUANKU! Pakatan Rakyat to meet the King (www.malaysiakini.com)

Malaysiakini reports:
Pakatan Rakyat’s relentless pursuit to take control of the central government from Barisan Nasional could well take the opposition coalition to Istana Negara.
MCPX

Pakatan had already sought an audience with the constitutional monarch to stake its claim on the federal government by sending an official letter to the king a few days ago, PAS Parit Buntar MP Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa told an anti-ISA forum in Penang last night.

Will the King grant an audience?
The rakyat prays His majesty will.
The King's advice is of expedience.
The rakyat wants nothing to ail.

Malachi 1:11

"For from the rising of the sun even to its setting,
My name will be great among the nations,
and in every place incense is going to be offered to My name,
and a grain offering that is pure;
for My name will be great among the nations,"
says the LORD of hosts.

MP Teresa Kok freed. So what?! - www.malaysiakini.com

No doubt I am happy that Teresa is freed.

Nevertheless, no Malaysian is free until ISA is abolished.

"I don't know what I've got into... I don't know what is the real reason (that) caused me to (be) put behind bars for one week," she told journalists as she left the police station. Kok, who is also the Selangor state executive council member, expressed that she was still slightly shaken but glad that she was released. "(There is) no reason at all to put me under ISA... What have I done? What have I said?" she asked. (Source: malaysiakini)

I bet that one-day stay in prison feels like one hundred days.

Maybe I'm exaggerating but then again, who would cherish confinement for doing no wrong?

Two ex-Umno members blame Pak Lah for financial turmoil! - www.malaysiakini.com

Dr M says Pak Lah can't manage finance (Malaysiakini)

His latest blog post is entitled 'FINANCIAL TURMOIL' (www.chedet.com)

Dr M's statement has added fuel to the fire of Anwar's statement:
As the incumbent prime minister actively holding office and exercising all executive powers, and as the outgoing finance minister, we hold him fully accountable for the current political turmoil and mismanagement of the nation’s economy. (Malaysiakini)

Dr M and Anwar complement each other too well!

In the meantime, Pak Lah is still doing what he does best - 'buat bodoh' ('FINANCIAL TURMOIL')

Flip-flops!

Nothing to do with Pak Lah but then again...

Don't speculate? *scratching head, eyes rolling* - www.malaysiakini.com

Firstly, there is no certainty that Pakatan Rakyat will take over the government, is there?

So, let me speculate that Pakatan Rakyat may or may not take over the government.

I was 'puzzled' to read 'Don't speculate on gov't takeover, warn police' in Malaysiakini. The deputy police chief Ismail Omar held a special press conference today just to tell everyone not to spread rumours that there would be takeover of the government (by opposition).

Aiyo! There is no need to spread any rumour. By now, the whole world (well, maybe half the world) knows about the intention of Anwar-led Pakatan Raykat to take over the government.

I don't know what to think of our police lah. Please do something about the crime rate lah. Just yesterday my mom-in-law witnessed a snatch theft right in front of her house in broad daylight!

What nonsense! Anwar, a "threat" to national security? - www.malaysiakini.com

In a hastily-called press conference today, Abdullah announce the swapping of portfolios with his deputy. The former is now the defense minister while the latter is the finance minister. He also touched on Anwar's request for a meeting to discuss a power transfer to the opposition Pakatan Rakyat and described Anwar as a "threat" to national security. "He has become a threat to the economy and possibly (national) security," he said - a serious allegation which allows the government to invoke the draconian Internal Security Act against him. (Source: Malaysiakini)

At about 9 PM today, my wife showed me a SMS from her colleague that read: 'Pls pray tat anwar is not caught under the ISA. Cos latest news at bernama according to badawi or bodohwi, anwar is a threat to the country and economy.'
I was with friends at that time and told them about the SMS.
One of them retorted, 'What nonsense! Anwar is not a threat to the nation. He's only a threat to the government. It's the people, the nation who wants change.'

Never-seen-before Malaysia Day celebration (watch it on malaysiakini)

Source: TV SMITH

Personally, I have not been to any Malaysia Day celebration but I bet the one that was held last night at Kelana Jaya was the best ever since the birth of Malaysia.

I could feel myself drawn to the euphoria just by watching the video Pt 5: Anwar: We're ready to form new gov't on youtube.com/malaysiakini

After Anwar ended his speech, there were hails of 'Merdeka!' followed by the singing of the national anthem, 'Negaraku' with much gusto.

I wish I was there. Thankfully, there was coverage by malaysiakini and many more bloggers.

*Singing Malaysiaku, tanah tumpahnya darahku, rakyat hidup bersatu and maju, rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan, Raja kita selamat bertakhta!*

PREPARE FOR WAR!

9 Proclaim this among the nations:
Prepare for war!
Wake up the mighty men,
Let all the men of war draw near,
Let them come up.
10 Beat your plowshares into swords
And your pruning hooks into spears;
Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’”
11 Assemble and come, all you nations,
And gather together all around.
Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O LORD.
12 “ Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.

13 Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe.
Come, go down;
For the winepress is full,
The vats overflow—
For their wickedness is great.”
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!
For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and moon will grow dark,
And the stars will diminish their brightness.
16 The LORD also will roar from Zion,
And utter His voice from Jerusalem;
The heavens and earth will shake;
But the LORD will be a shelter for His people,
And the strength of the children of Israel.
17 “ So you shall know that I am the LORD your God,
Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.
Then Jerusalem shall be holy,
And no aliens shall ever pass through her again.”
The Prophet Joel

Same old same old...no need to explain lah (www.malaysiakini.com)

The deputy inspector-general of police Ismail Omar came out in defense for detaining blogger RPK, reporter Tan and MP Teresa under ISA.

Like an old tape recorder, he explained that the decision to use the tough security law, which allows detention without trial, was based on intelligence and observation that certain acts by the individuals concerned were detrimental to the well-being of the nation. (Source: Malaysiakini)

Based on intelligence? Why is the police not intelligent enough to detain Ahmad Ismail?

Why don't the police spend more time catching potential rapists and robbers? Why not spend more time gathering intelligence to prevent crimes like kidnappers of kids?

Have the police found the murderer/kidnapper of Nurin until today? Not enough intelligence, ah?

12-min suara rakyat @ Bukit Aman (watch it on malaysiakini)

I was moved to see the video 'Short vigil in Bukit Aman' on www.malaysiakini.tv

A small crowd gathered at Bukit Aman last night to show their solidarity and support for the release of ISA detainees - Raja Petra and Teresa Kok.

They started singing softly the words 'Suara rakyat, suara rakyat, suara rakyat laungkan. Kita bangun, kita bangun, kita bangun dan lawan!' to the popular tune of 'Oh, My Darling' (aka 'Bangun Pagi, Gosok Gigi' to those of us schooled in 'Sekolah Kebangsaan'). Slowly but surely, their voices in unison became louder.

Marina Lee Abdullah, Raja Petra's wife was interviewed at the end of the vigil. She said that though the crowd was small, it was a good start. She ended by saying that if we all stood up and be counted, we could make that change. Yes, people of Malaysia. Let us make that change! Jom Ubah!

Zaid Ibrahim, you have my respect! - www.malaysiakini.com

I just accessed Malaysiakini. I was both pleased and surprised to read the top news.

Law minister threatens to quit over ISA
breaking news updated 3.30pm De facto law minister Zaid Ibrahim threatens to resign if the government continues to use the Internal Security Act against political dissidents.MORE

Indeed, the Law minister is a man who upholds the principles of democracy.

Commenting further, Zaid said: "I am very sad that people like Teresa, whom I know personally, can be seen as a threat. I can't see how a journalist doing her duty, or even Raja Petra, can be seen as a national threat.

Mr. Zaid, like-minded Malaysians will stand by you and support you all the way! Viva Malaysia!

Anwar & Pak Lah: Four-eyed meeting (Malaysiakini)

Will Pak Lah meet with Anwar?

Malaysiakini reported:
Anwar Ibrahim is seeking a meeting with Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to discuss national security in the wake of the ISA
MCPX
crackdown
and the future of Malaysian politics.

The proposal was agreed by the Pakatan Rakyat leadership council, Anwar told a press conference after the council meeting at the PKR headquarters this afternoon.

Even if Pak Lah and Anwar were to meet, will anything change?

I think just let Pakatan Rakyat take over lah. Talking and meeting won't change anything.

Sin Chew Reporter Released!

From anilnetto.com:
Just received word at 3.40pm that the Sin Chew Daily reporter, Tan Hoon Cheng, has been released by Bukit Aman. Awaiting official confirmation.

Reporter may be freed today! (www.malaysiakini.com)

breaking news (http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/89628) Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar said today that
MCPX
Sin Chew Daily
senior reporter Tan Hoon Cheng may be released from Internal Security Act detention as early as today.

Syed Hamid added that no more arrests under ISA are expected but it would depend on the situation of public order. (Star Online)

The police must be 'bo eng' ('not free' in Hokkien) yesterday. At least 10 policemen went to Raja Petra's home. They were irritated by the ringtone of his phone 'Who let the dogs out!' HAHA.

Go here to watch the video 'Raja Petra arrested under ISA' - www.malaysiakini.tv

Then, at least 3 police petrol cars to 'catch' Teresa last night. Really 'BO ENG'!

The government IS afraid of the people - www.malaysiakini.com

The voice of the people is getting louder by the day.
Raja Petra is arrested under ISA.

“I was told they would probably pick up all the bloggers,” he said.
All the bloggers out there, be very afraid.

No.

We will not bow down to pressure.
We will blog the truth with pleasure.

Come on, rakyat. Let freedom ring.
Malaysia shall be free from the tyrant's reign.

GOD WAS AT THE PENTAGON ON 9/11

An email that I receive from AllWorship.com:

That day seems like a blur now. I imagine that, just like Pearl Harbor, over time many will forget. Generations of families were changed that day. Future legacies of dads, moms, sisters and brothers were ended. They should never be forgotten. I will never forget.

I will also never forget the sign of God’s love and presence that I experienced that day. As I pulled up to the impact side of the Pentagon on 9/11, I didn’t want to believe that this was an intentional act of people. I tried to tell myself in a split second that this must have been an accident. I thought this might have been a helicopter crash on the Pentagon helicopter pad. My Safety Officer told me to snap out of it -- that this was a Boeing 757 that had crashed intentionally into the Pentagon. I confirmed his statement when I walked into the debris field. I found a part of the door to the avionics/electronics compartment. I recognized it because I had opened that door so many times during my training.

We immediately took a position with our Aircraft Rescue & Firefighting vehicles, attacking the fire through a small hole in the building. I remember seeing multiple propane tanks burning and I directed someone to cool the tanks with water. It was at that moment it happened. People said later that she walked right by me, but I never saw her. A woman exited through a door next to the hole that the plane had made on impact. She was severely burned and still smoldering. I never saw her and I believe that was for a divine reason that I will explain later.

We continued to fight the fires, concentrating our water streams through the windows of the burning interior offices. The smoke was so thick that you couldn’t see the side of the building. Just then a gust of wind came from nowhere and cleared the smoke for a brief second. That’s when I saw it -- there was a stress crack running from the roof of the Pentagon all the way down to the impact area. I immediately told the Division Supervisor that we had structural integrity compromised. We both agreed to back up and not let anyone in the building. We cordoned off the area with fire line tape.

A group of soldiers led by a General started to yell at us, “Get in there; our friends are dying in there!” but we held our ground. At one point the pushing and shoving from this group became so violent that police intervened and dispersed the crowd. As I turned to look back at the building, it collapsed. The announcement was made, “We have had structural collapse at the Pentagon”.

Where was God that day? He was standing beside me making sure I didn’t see the burning woman. He knew that if I had seen her I would have taken a crew in the door she exited and looked for others. Where was God that day? He was at work making a gust of wind appear on a calm day, clearing the smoke so we could see the crack that had started making the building fall.

I thank God for watching over my crew that day and not letting any more first responders perish.

Every Blessing,

General Election in September 2009? - www.malaysiakini.com

The Pakatan Rakyat alliance, led by opposition icon Anwar Ibrahim, plans to call for early general elections if it comes into power so as to dispel worries its targeted takeover of the government might be undemocratic or unethical.

PKR vice-president R Sivarasa told Malaysiakini fresh elections would be held within six months to a year of the alliance gaining control of Parliament.

Kudos to Pakatan Rakyat for making this promise. Six months to one year can be a long time. Many things can happen.

Will Dr M migrate by then? What will happen to Anwar's sodomy case?
Who will be the President of Umno? Pak Lah or Ku Li?
Will BN disintegrate, leaving only Umno, MCA and MIC hugging each other?

HIJACK!

Forwarded email. May be an authentic account.

After a month-long holiday in the US, my wife and I finally boarded the plane in San Francisco last Sunday heading home.

As the plane reached cruising speed with the seat belt sign switched off, a 6 ft 3" black man with the build of Mike Tyson in the front row got up from his seat, turned to face the back, raised his arm and yelled, "HIJACK!".

Everyone was frozen to the seat, expecting the worst to happen.

And two stewards were about to jump onto this guy to overpower him
when another voice answered from the back of the plane: "HI JOHN !".

The moral of the story is:
If you have a friend named Jack, for heaven's sake don't ever call him in the plane.
Otherwise you may land yourself in deep shit

Introducing the latest football team!!! - www.malaysiakini.com

From Malaysiakini 'BN to let Umno decide on Ahmad': When asked if the resentment shown by component parties towards Ahmad was an indication the coalition was disintegrating, the prime minister said the Barisan was still a favourite amongst the majority of the people.

"We are like a football team and we are getting more aggressive," replied Abdullah.

HAHA! Is that why Ahmad was so aggressive lately, showing the way to Captain Abdullah?

Barisan still a favourite amongst the majority of the people?

Yes, I agree. Majority of the people still want to kick the ball of Barisan into oblivion!

We don't want an aggressive football team, we want a progressive football team!

Abdullah, Najib 'kowtow' to Ahmad - www.malaysiakini.com

In a press conference today, Ahmad Ismail, vowed that he would not apologise for his 'racist' remark. Soon after the event, some of his men pulled down the photo of Gerakan acting president Dr Koh Tsu Koon which adorned one of the walls in the party headquarters. Ahmad Ismail was also being 'pro-active', warning the Chinese not to provoke the Malays and Muslims further, thus forcing them to reject the Chinese for the sake of their survival.

I don't know much about the Prophet Mohammed and Islam but I believe a true disciple of Islam would not behave the way Ahmad Ismail did. There was no religious issue in the first place. He was alleged to have made a 'racist' remark.

Lastly, Malaysiakini said - In an immediate reaction, both Abdullah and Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak are expected to meet Ahmad tomorrow. WOW! Looks like besides the Chinese, the PM and DPM also have to 'kowtow' to the DIVISION CHIEF of Bukit Bendera!

Can these bones live?

“The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?
I said, “O Sovereign LORD, you alone know.
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’ ” So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’ ” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.”

Change of plan but still 'on track' - www.malaysiakini.com

From Malaysiakini:
Ten days to go and Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim said today he is on track to meet the Sept 16 deadline to recruit enough members of parliament to topple the government.
BUT
"The only issue now is that they (the government) are going to compel members of parliament to (travel to) China or overseas until after the 16th of September, so we'll have to deal with that. "Probably we'll meet on the 17th because they'll come back on the 17th," he said.

Will Abdullah be able to thwart Anwar's plan? I don't think so. I think he can only delay the takeover. Everyday is crucial. Even one day. So, looks like Abdullah has successfully delayed it by one day - from 16 to 17.

How long can he do that? If Anwar factor is absent, everyday is still a 'torture' for him until 2010!!!

DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY (AND PRAY!)

Sept. 4 (Bloomberg) - 'Malaysian Ringgit Will Be a 'Washout', Institute Says (Update2)':
Malaysia's ringgit, Southeast Asia's second-worst performer in the past three months, will be ''a washout'' in 2008 as a growing budget deficit and policy inaction on inflation turn investors away, the partially government-funded think tank of Malaysian Institute of Economic Research said...
Abdullah said today the currency "has not reached a worrying level.''
Nothing seems to make Abdullah worry. Maybe, his philosophy on economy is to leave everything to prayer.

Incidentally, on that same day, The Star Online reported him as saying, "So, please pray that the fuel prices won't climb again or better yet, for it to drop further."

Baby @ mama's office

Mommy had to go to work today though Saturday is an off day.
Janson followed mommy to work.
Daddy too.

My 'bald' Crocs

I've been wearing my faithful pair of Crocs almost everyday for 1-and-a-half years.

It is 'balding'...time to change to another pair of Crocs or a much cheaper non-Crocs.

Gerakan: We are ready! - www.malaysiakini.com

"I'm only the PM"

"I'M DIVISION CHIEF"
(photos from Malaysiakini)
While the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games ended last month, Gerakan has just adopted its theme song "We Are Ready" this month.

Yes, Gerakan ready to cut links with defiant Umno leader, says Malaysiakini.

In a clear snub against Abdullah, who is also Penang Umno chief, all 13 party divisions in the island state had yesterday thrown their support for Ahmad.

WOW! Isn't '13' Abdullah's lucky number??? He's really lucky this time!

Meanwhile, the party’s Penang Youth wing called on Gerakan to withdraw from BN “immediately”.

Hohoho!!! Abdullah rejected by his own race, the Malays and fellow 'comrades', the non-Malays.

Unapologetic Ahmad Ismail - www.malaysiakini.com

Ahmad's first public statement since his alleged racist remarks against Chinese Malaysians during the recent by-election campaign in Permatang Pauh:
“I am not apologetic because I didn’t do anything wrong,” the Umno division leader from Penang told Malaysiakini via telephone today.

Ahmad didn't mean it, says Abdullah last Saturday.

A man whose conscience is seared does not feel guilty, much less to admit his guilt.

Thus, a man like Ahmad Ismail has three options to prove his innocence and regain his reputation:
1. Like Abdullah, he can sleep over it.
2. Like Najib, he can swear in Allah's name.
3. Like Saiful, he can swear on the Quran.

More than 40? Barisan Nasional sure die! - www.malaysiakini.com

tik tok...tikitiki tok...bunyi jam di dinding rumah ku...tik tok...tikitiki tok...masa sudah berlalu. Belajar, bermain, masanya tertentu. Tra la la Tra la la Tra la li Tra la li Tra la lu Tra la lu, masa sudah berlalu...

I remember singing that song in primary school. Now it reminds me of the time that is drawing near...Time for the birth of a New Malaysia!

After reading 'Expect more than 40 to defect' in Malaysiakini, my feelings were that of anticipation and anxiety, like waiting for the birth of a baby.

In a press conference today, Sarawak PKR chief Dominique Ng said that Pakatan Rakyat coalition could now count on more than 40 MPs to cross over from Barisan Nasional. More than 40? Barisan Nasional sure die! JOM UBAH! TIME FOR CHANGE!

Keng Yaik yakking away about 'United Money Now Obselete'!!!!!

Excerpt from The Malaysian Insider: In a wide-ranging interview with Off the Edge, Keng Yaik said, '"We had the worst kind of Umno arrogance as a result of the 2004 elections. The abuse of power, corruption, negotiated tenders with government tenders going mainly to Umno-associated companies...He alleged that money politics culture in Umno also had an impact on the general elections, saying that all new Gerakan candidates were given "hell by the Umno divisional chairmen''.

"It's all money, money, money, money, money, '' he noted.

WOAH! When Keng Yaik speaks, he shoots. Well, well. He is certainly not your ordinary Tun. He also paints a grim picture of Umno, a party incapable of change and reform.

So, what does Umno stand for now? United money now obselete!

Baby with mommy in the car after taking medicine...

Thank you, mommy for making me take my medicine!

Sept 16: Malaysia for Malaysians! - www.malaysiakini.com

As early as June 9 this year (could have been earlier), Anwar announced the Pakatan Rakyat taking over and forming a new government. Today, he went a step further by announcing Sept 16 as a public holiday for Pakatan-held states. According to political observers, the announcement expressly implied that the federal government had ignored and neglected the importance of Sabah and Sarawak since states in the Peninsular do not mark the day with a public holiday. (Source: Malaysiakini)

I'm not a political observer, much less a political scientist but I think no politician has ever plotted a so-called 'coup d'état' and pronounced it at the same time. I think there is wisdom in Anwar making known the 'coup d'état', knowing well that the government of the day will do everything at its disposal to stop him - the Permatang Pauh by-election was a testament to that.

Now that Sept 16 the takeover is imminent, we wait with bated breath for a New Malaysia Day!

Father's First: A soft knock

Janson is officially 4-month-and-1-day old.

Thank God for His grace and love over His children.

Despite human carelessness, Janson has been protected from serious harm and danger.

Just about almost 2 hours ago, I lifted him a bit too high. His head knocked against the metal ledge.

8=(

Mommy had to pacify him and 'beat' daddy. So, daddy had to say sorry.

Father, we just want to commit Janson into Your loving hands. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN

Our first time watching a movie at 10:30 AM last Saturday. Why? Coz it was F.O.C!

Overall, DMWTZ was a nice show minus all the explicit stuff.

Moral of the story - one can still fulfill his dream in America! ;)
