A witness in the Aminulrasyid Amzah shooting trial gave a damning account of the accused Jenain Subin's involvement in the teenager's death, saying that someone had let loose fully automatic fire during the fatal car chase.
Constable Mohd Izham Mahayuddin, who was in the first of two patrol cars that chased after Aminulrasyid's white Proton Iswara, said at the Shah Alam Sessions Court today he was "shocked" to hear fully automatic fire coming from the patrol car behind them on Jalan Tarian.
He said he would be mentally prepared for the loud noise from the Heckler and Koch MP5 sub-machine gun if he were shooting one himself, but stressed that it is a different experience altogether to hear it being shot by someone else.
Mohd Izham described the shots as going "truuuup", with no interval between shots each time the trigger was depressed and said he heard his colleague, in the patrol car behind his, shoot twice within 15 to 20 seconds and estimated that "maybe more than 10" bullets were spent in that time frame.

During examination-in-chief by deputy public prosecutor Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar (right), Mohd Izham said, "I did not expect shots to be fired because the tyre was already blown and it would be difficult to escape."
