Stupid Decision!!!! How much does it cost the economy to have a public holiday. With Stock & commodity exchange closed, increased costs (double treble pay)to businesses, etc. It will make more sense if a few millions were to be paid to the players, trainers, etc thsn to declare a public holiday.
What about other sports, like squash, bowling, kite flying etc. The point is there are more sports championship than number of days in a year.
