A new political party called 'Pakatan Rakyat Malaysia' will be launched in Sibu, Sarawak in the coming days, ahead of the upcoming State Assembly elections, likely to be held next year.
The controversial name is likely to cause confusion among Sarawak voters, sources told Malaysiakini.
The financial backer for the new political entity is believed to be Bintulu member of parliament and BN Backbenchers' club chairperson Tiong King Sing.
