Bridge tragedy: 'Shut down 1M'sia camp'
The anguished father of one of the schoolgirls who drowned, tells a Pakatan Rakyat inquiry that his daughter would still be alive if not for this camp.
Some 50 people, mainly parents of the schoolchildren who attended the camp were at the four-hour public inquiry conducted by a Pakatan Rakyat ad hoc committee want the Kuala Dipang camp shut down and the negligent parties brought to book.
Lorry driver T Nathan, 44, who lost his 11-year-old daughter Dina Deve in the incident said he did not want the same fate to befall other parents and added, saying, "The lives of my daughter and her friends were sacrificed needlessly in the name of the 1Malaysia concept of (Prime Minister) Najib (Abdul Razak) which is a political stunt to fool Malaysians.
