Habakkuk 3 (New King James Version)

1 A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet, on Shigionoth.
2 O LORD, I have heard Your speech and was afraid;
O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years!
In the midst of the years make it known;
In wrath remember mercy.
3 God came from Teman,
The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah

His glory covered the heavens,
And the earth was full of His praise.
4 His brightness was like the light;
He had rays flashing from His hand,
And there His power was hidden.
5 Before Him went pestilence,
And fever followed at His feet.
6 He stood and measured the earth;
He looked and startled the nations.
And the everlasting mountains were scattered,
The perpetual hills bowed.
His ways are everlasting.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction;
The curtains of the land of Midian trembled.
8 O LORD, were You displeased with the rivers,
Was Your anger against the rivers,
Was Your wrath against the sea,
That You rode on Your horses,
Your chariots of salvation?
9 Your bow was made quite ready;
Oaths were sworn over Your arrows. Selah

You divided the earth with rivers.
10 The mountains saw You and trembled;
The overflowing of the water passed by.
The deep uttered its voice,
And lifted its hands on high.
11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation;
At the light of Your arrows they went,
At the shining of Your glittering spear.
12 You marched through the land in indignation;
You trampled the nations in anger.
13 You went forth for the salvation of Your people,
For salvation with Your Anointed.
You struck the head from the house of the wicked,
By laying bare from foundation to neck. Selah
14 You thrust through with his own arrows
The head of his villages.
They came out like a whirlwind to scatter me;
Their rejoicing was like feasting on the poor in secret.
15 You walked through the sea with Your horses,
Through the heap of great waters.
16 When I heard, my body trembled;
My lips quivered at the voice;
Rottenness entered my bones;
And I trembled in myself,
That I might rest in the day of trouble.
When he comes up to the people,
He will invade them with his troops.
17 Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The LORD God c]">[c] is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.

To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments.

Anwar tells opportunists to get out. Focus on Batang Ai

With three by-elections around the corner, PKR is in serious mood. And the party has to be. Today, PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim sets the tone for the tough battles ahead by calling on all party leaders and members to strengthen the party from the core. Speaking at a special meeting for PKR legislators and other key party leaders in Shah Alam, Anwar said one of the major steps needed to strengthen PKR is to rid the party of opportunists. Without naming names, he told his party chiefs that there were members who emailed him specifically to request for titles and posts in the party. “Some of them even threatened me by saying that they will leave the party if they don’t get any posts. If they want to leave the party just because of this, let them leave,” Anwar told his audience of some 300 people gathered in a Shah Alam hotel this afternoon. He stressed it was better for such selfish people to leave as they would be liabilities to the party. Anwar, both casual in mood and dress, seemed to give Sarawak voters something to look forward to in the upcoming by-election in Batang Ai by focusing on native customary rights (NCR) land issue in the state. (Source: Get out, PKR opportunists told - Malaysiakini)

At least, Anwar sees the weakness of the party but a lil too late. BN had seized the opportunity offered by the opportunists within the party to capture Perak. PKR had better get rid of the opportunists fast!

Thank You Jesus for a good dinner last Sunday!

Nizar tak derhaka. Nizar enggan serah kunci kereta

Ousted Perak Menteri Besar Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin has decided not to hand over his official car until the court decides on the status of the menteri besar's post in the state. He however has decided to hand over the keys to the official residence of the menteri besar to the state secretary today. He had vacated the residence last Sunday after initially refusing to do so in favour of the Barisan Nasional Menteri Besar Zambry Abd Kadir who was appointed on Feb 6. Nizar's special officer Amran Harun today delivered the keys to the official residence to chief assistant to the state secretary Shamshuzaman Sulaiman this morning in Ipoh.
Amran said that Nizar would continue to use the official car - a Toyota Camry with registration number AJS 10 - until a decision is made by the court on the status of the menteri besar. "If the court says that Nizar is not legitimate, then we will return the car," said Amran.

Nizar amat berjasa kepada Perak. BN, kalau nak berjasa kepada rakyat, hadiahkanlah Camry kepada orang yang amat berjasa kepada rayat. ;=)

Elizabeth Wong: Polis tak ada intelligence cari Hilmi?

From Malaysiakini yesterday (Friday):
Kuala Lumpur police chief Mohammad Sabtu Osman told reporters in his office at the city police headquarters today. He said that although the police had heard information that Hilmi was in Kuala Lumpur, this however could not be confirmed.

"But as for as we know he is in Jakarta," he said.

From myMetro three days ago (Wednesday):

Kakaka

Elizabeth Wong: Hilmi not a suspect, just a witness

The police have taken statements from 14 people so far in their investigations into the leaked nude photographs of Selangor Exco member and Bukit Lanjan assemblyperson Elizabeth Wong. Kuala Lumpur police chief Mohammad Sabtu Osman however said Wong's former boyfriend Hilmi Malik was not one of those whose statement had been taken by the police. He added that the police were still in the process of locating Hilmi who is expected to be a key witness in the case. "He is not a suspect in this case. He is just a witness," Mohammad Sabtu told reporters in his office at the city police headquarters today. He said that although the police had heard information that Hilmi was in Kuala Lumpur, this however could not be confirmed.

"But as for as we know he is in Jakarta," he said.
(Nude photos: Cops take statement from 14 - Malaysiakini)
Eh, why ah...?? Isn't Hilmi believed to have taken the photos of Elizabeth? If yes, then he is the main suspect, right? Why now no longer a suspect??? So, there's no suspect lah? Only witnesses.

Allah loves Nizar

Obviously, this post is not about Nizar.
To read the news, click to enlarge or click here to read.

From Malaysiakini:
‘All countries have their own native languages and they will translate the word 'God/Allah' into their own language. A good example is Indonesia. I am pretty sure Christians there use the word 'Allah' very extensively.'

Editor's Note: Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar had on Feb 16 signed a gazette titled as ‘Internal Security (Prohibition On Use of Specific Words on Document and Publication) Order 2009'.

It allows Christians to use the term Allah - but only in print.

‘The printing, publishing, sale, issue, circulation and possession of any document and publication relating to Christianity containing the words Allah, Kaabah, Baitullah and Solat are prohibited unless on the front cover of the document and publication are written with the words ‘For Christianity,’ says the gazette.'

Last but not least, Allah loves me too...

ALL EYES ON BATANG AI

The opposition in Sarawak will normally shun Dayak constituencies during a general election - the reasons are obvious. In most cases, the chance to defeat the Barisan Nasional is almost zero. Contesting a rural seat in Sarawak is a very expensive affair and there is no way for the opposition to match the huge resources and machineries of the BN. At best, it will only be a token fight should the opposition decide to enter the race. However, for the coming by-election in Batang Ai, the situation seem to be different. For the first time in a long while, Dayak BN leaders - particular those in Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) - have quietly conceded that it will be tough to retain the seat...Among the reasons were the lack of a strong candidate, mistrust among BN components in the state and the swelling support for the opposition. PKR also has a credible candidate in Nicholas Bawin, who lost to the late Unting in the 2006 state election by a mere 806 votes. (Malaysiakini: Tough for BN to retain Batang Ai, say party insiders)
806 is a slim majority. Will it be the first by-election to say 'bye' to Bee End and 'Welcome PR'?

Billy, the 'long-lost' friend

Wifey and I did something different today - breakfast @ Starbucks.

She was glad to meet her 'long-lost' friend, Billy.

Though the breakfast came to RM23 ++, we enjoyed makan-ing together.

Breakfast @ Starbucks once a while ok lah...once a week tak boleh lah...once a month maybe lah..

Haha

Nevertheless, thank God my wife can get 20% discount for patronising Starbucks.

Hehe...God is good all the time.

Nyanyian pujian Maria

Lalu kata Maria: "Jiwaku memuliakan Tuhan,
Ia memperlihatkan kuasa-Nya dengan perbuatan tangan-Nya dan mencerai-beraikan orang-orang yang congkak hatinya;
Ia menurunkan orang-orang yang berkuasa dari takhtanya dan meninggikan orang-orang yang rendah;
Ia melimpahkan segala yang baik kepada orang yang lapar, dan menyuruh orang yang kaya pergi dengan tangan hampa;
Ia menolong Israel, hamba-Nya, karena Ia mengingat rahmat-Nya,
seperti yang dijanjikan-Nya kepada nenek moyang kita, kepada Abraham dan keturunannya untuk selama-lamanya."

Nizar tak biadap, Karpal biadap, Umno amat biadap

From Malaysiakini:
A day after proclaiming that 'Singh is King', DAP veteran Karpal Singh finds himself mobbed by a group of angry Umno Youth members at the Parliament lobby. This followed Karpal's accusation yesterday that the 'celaka' (damn) Umno Youth was responsible for the death threat and two bullets he had received via mail last week. Karpal, 69, had also warned Umno Youth not to play games with him and likened himself to the recent Bollywood blockbuster 'Singh is Kinng'. At about 2.30pm, the wheelchair-bound politician was surrounded by about 30 Umno Youth members, who prevented him from entering the Dewan Rakyat and demanded he apologise.
...

Earlier in the morning, Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin in an unrelated press conference challenged Karpal, whom he described as an "arrogant MP who thinks he knows everything", to repeat his accusation outside of the Parliament building. Asked if an apology would be sufficient, the Umno Youth leader replied: "There is no use in asking him for an apology because he is an arrogant MP and he thinks he knows everything."

Karpal is too much lah but then again, Umno Youth violent reaction cannot be justified.

Gutter politics: Of PKR Wanita, Dr M and Elizabeth Wong

Malaysiakini: Say no to gutter politics

The likelihood of Bukit Lanjan state assemblyperson Elizabeth Wong's nude photographs scandal ending anytime soon may be slim but PKR Wanita has had enough and is saying 'no' to gutter politics. PKR's Wanita wing today launched an anti-gutter politics campaign, denouncing the dirty tactics used to expose the private lives of leading political figures. "Today our media has been used as a platform to sensationalise the private lives of politicians including men and women holding public offices. "Without us realising it, we are dragged into a culture called gutter politics," said PKR Wanita chief Zuraida Kamaruddin.

...

"Gutter politics cause irreparable damage and deprivation of human dignity, especially when the target is a female politician. "Our route to gender mainstreaming in politics has now been obstructed by gutter politics because women who make serving the rakyat their passion and women who intend to venture into politics as a way of life will now find themselves being blackmailed by gutter politicians," said Zuraida. She cited Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which states that 'no one shall be subjected to attacks upon their honour and reputation'.

The Star Online: It’s gutter politics, says Mahathir

Based on the current political scenario, it looks like the privacy of an individual is being used for political assasination. So, will the government protect the privacy of individual as per Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights? I think not coz the govt wants to protect itself and not the the rakyat. Sad but true.

Nude photos: State govt to decide on the fate of Elizabeth Wong

In a press conference this afternoon, Khalid said that the state government would only be making a decision on Wong's fate of the police have completed investigations into the matter. "After a discussion among all the exco relating to this matter at the cabinet meeting today, the state government has decided to extend Wong's leave while waiting for the police investigation." Khalid also expressed appreciation for PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's show of support over allegations that he was involved in abuse of power. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has said it found "good and strong" evidence against Khalid and would recommend that he face prosecution. Khalid is accused of spending taxpayers' money to buy 46 cows that were slaughtered and distributed in his constituency during the Hari Raya Korban festival last December. (Malaysiakini - Nude photos: Sultan throws ball back into MB's court) Two days ago, I pumped petrol and chatted up with the Malay guy at the counter. He said Khalid was only helping the poor and Khir was the corrupted one.

SULTAN VS NIZAR - malaysiakini

No, of course, Nizar is a gentleman. Though he is a victim of political assasination, he did not sue the Sultan. Why? Coz Nizar is a devout Muslim who respects the Sultan. Moreover, Nizar is not an Umno man. Muahahahaha...

In the meantime, read all about 'Sultan has no powers to ask Nizar to quit' at YB Lim Kit Siang's blog.

Sing when you're winning

That's the title of a song by Robbie Williams. No, I'm not going to talk about this song. Rather, I'm going to talk about a story about how a war was won by an army who did nothing but sang.

Win when you're singing!

Yes, singing was the strategy that God gave when the armies of Moab and Ammon, together with the Meunites, went to war against Jehoshaphat.

He was so scared. He got everyone to fast and prayed. Suddenly God's Spirit spoke to Jahaziel. He told the people, '...You won't even have to fight. Just take your positions and watch the LORD rescue you from your enemy. Don't be afraid. Just do as you're told. And as you march out tomorrow, the LORD will be there with you.

Early the next morning, Jehoshaphat the king, spoke to the people, "Listen my friends, if we trust the LORD God and believe what these prophets have told us, the LORD will help us, and we will be successful."
Then he explained his plan and appointed men to march in front of the army and praise the LORD for his holy power by singing: "Praise the LORD! His love never ends."

As soon as they began singing, the LORD confused the enemy camp, so that the Ammonite and Moabite troops attacked and completely destroyed those from Edom. Then they turned against each other and fought until the entire camp was wiped out!

YEAH!
Win when you're singing.

That is the strategy to win. No matter how stressful or fearful a situation we may be in, when we start singing praises to God, He will fight for us. Amen.

Nizar vs Zambry: Nine-page ruling, seven points - malaysiakini

From Malaysiakini:
Kuala Lumpur High Court judicial commissioner Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof today decided to recuse himself from hearing the case of who is the rightful Perak menteri besar. Mohamad Ariff, a former senior partner of law firm Cheang and Ariff and a former PAS member, decided to disqualify himself from hearing the case following an objection from the Attorney-General’s Chambers...In his nine-page ruling this morning, Ariff stressed that the case filed by ousted Pakatan Rakyat menteri besar Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin had been assigned to him not by choice or upon his request. "It is a normal incidence of case assignment in the Appellate and Special Powers division of the High Court," he explained.

...

Ariff also referred to objections raised by senior counsel Sulaiman Abdullah, who is leading a team of eight lawyers in representing Nizar. Ariff said Sulaiman had taken a diametrically opposed position but relying on the same principle of public interest and applying the same standard of "real danger of bias".

He said his position could be summarised in seven points.

  • The real danger of bias test is not satisfied.
  • I can sit and must sit, as a matter of constitutional duty.
  • There is an imperative requirement that I preside and hear this case.
  • The presumption is that a judge will be fair and impartial.
  • Recusal will invite unwarranted comments regarding the judiciary.
  • Recusal will send a wrong message that I cannot decide objectively on a matter of controversy.
  • I can hear this case because my nexus is merely tangential, not personal or pecuniary.
The JC has displayed true professionalism. If only those in MACC can emulate him, there will not be any biased perception about MACC.

SULTAN BERSIMPATI DGN ELIZABETH WONG - malaysiakini

Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has refused to get himself involved in the controversy involving Bukit Lanjan assemblywoman Elizabeth Wong, whose nude photographs have been circulated in public. In a press statement issued by the sultan’s private secretary Mohamad Munir Bani, the palace expressed sadness over the controversy which has roiled the state. However, Sultan Sharafuddin said that he could not offer any guidance or advice over the issue because the case is still under police investigation. "It is His Royal Highness' stance as the Sultan of Selangor to be above politics," said Mohamad Munir. The sultan added that he believes the decision to be made by Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim on the matter will be “fair and with wisdom” and will take into consideration the interest of the rakyat and the state. "His Royal Highness is upset and worried as of late the intrusion of someone's privacy and private rights was being used to destroy one's dignity and reputation," said Mohamad Munir. "It is a sad thing as one's life and private rights were being made public and subject to public scrutiny by publicising in the mass media." The sultan expressed sympathy for Wong and hoped that she will "remain calm and be patient in continuing with her life henceforth".(Source: Malaysiakini)

I think the Sultan has made a wise decision...What was Khalid's intention in the first place to ask the Sultan for advice? I wonder...

Hilmi, bekas teman lelaki Elizabeth, dipercayai berada di Malaysia - malaysiakini

Excerpt from myMetro:
“Soal Hilmi...polis boleh bersabar dahulu. Kita percaya dia masih berada di Malaysia. Malah, keluarga Hilmi juga belum kita panggil untuk memberi keterangan.

So, bila nak cari dan soal siasat Hilmi? Polis boleh bersabar dahulu? Nak tunggu apa? Rakyat dah tak bersabar ni...

The usual morning crawl was much worse today.

Left Cheras at 7:15 AM and reached PJ at 8:30 AM.

Thank God I could keep my cool.

Nizar case: JC to deliver his decision 9 AM today - malaysiakini

Judicial Commissioner Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof has fixed 9am Wednesday to deliver his decision on whether he should recuse from hearing ousted Menteri Besar Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin's application against Barisan Nasional Menteri Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir. Mohd Ariff fixed the date after hearing an objection from senior federal counsel Kamaluddin Md Said who appeared for the Attorney-General's chambers and senior lawyer Sulaiman Abdullah who argued the judicial commissioner should remain on the bench to hear the case. "I would need some time to study to the arguments submitted," he said. The AG has an interests in this issue as it involves the interpretation of the Federal Constitution and the Perak Constitution. Kamaluddin in objecting to Ariff from hearing the case said his lordship was a former PAS member and had also advised the party and PKR on election petition cases. However, Ariff interjected that in the last session he did state he represented BN in an election petition case in Sarawak. Kamaluddin then pointed out that Ariff was representing PAS candidate Hashim Jasin in the Sanglang election petition case in Perlis. (Source: Malaysiakini)

ELIZABETH WONG NUDE PHOTO HOT TOPICS

Updated at 11:24 PM
Guess what people...my title post is the 'culprit' in less than 20 minutes from the time of the original posting.

Original posting:

Just look at the snap shot of the 'HOT TOPICS IN BLOGS' in Malaysiakini. The Elizabeth Wong's 'sex-pisode' has been abused to the max. Sad. Sorry that I just have to highlight this abuse. 8-|

Exodus 15 (New King James Version)

1 Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying:

“I will sing to the LORD,
For He has triumphed gloriously!
The horse and its rider
He has thrown into the sea!

2 The LORD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation;
He is my God, and I will praise Him;
My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

3 The LORD is a man of war;
The LORD is His name.

4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his army He has cast into the sea;
His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.

5 The depths have covered them;
They sank to the bottom like a stone.

6 “Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power;
Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces.

7 And in the greatness of Your excellence
You have overthrown those who rose against You;
You sent forth Your wrath;
It consumed them like stubble.

8 And with the blast of Your nostrils
The waters were gathered together;
The floods stood upright like a heap;
The depths congealed in the heart of the sea.

9 The enemy said, ‘I will pursue,
I will overtake,
I will divide the spoil;
My desire shall be satisfied on them.
I will draw my sword,
My hand shall destroy them.’

10 You blew with Your wind,
The sea covered them;
They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

11 “Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods?
Who is like You, glorious in holiness,
Fearful in praises, doing wonders?

12 You stretched out Your right hand;
The earth swallowed them.

13 You in Your mercy have led forth
The people whom You have redeemed;
You have guided them in Your strength
To Your holy habitation.

14 “The people will hear and be afraid;
Sorrow will take hold of the inhabitants of Philistia.

15 Then the chiefs of Edom will be dismayed;
The mighty men of Moab,
Trembling will take hold of them;
All the inhabitants of Canaan will melt away.

16 Fear and dread will fall on them;
By the greatness of Your arm
They will be as still as a stone,
Till Your people pass over, O LORD,
Till the people pass over
Whom You have purchased.

17 You will bring them in and plant them
In the mountain of Your inheritance,
In the place, O LORD, which You have made
For Your own dwelling,
The sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have established.

18 “The LORD shall reign forever and ever.”
19 For the horses of Pharaoh went with his chariots and his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought back the waters of the sea upon them. But the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

MKINI: WILL MACC BE TRULY PROFESSIONAL? - MKINI

The newly established Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) must act above board in all of its dealing. It was also very important that the commission remained fair and professional. This was the advice given to the commission by Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi when he launched the body at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur this morning. The MACC is the brainchild of the premier in his efforts to clean up corruption effectively. The commission came into effect in January, replacing the Anti-Corruption Agency. In his speech, Abdullah said MACC officers, regardless of position or rank, must carry out their duties to the highest standard of professionalism. Dedication, impartiality and fairness must be part and parcel of their job. "In that sense, your conduct, while on duty or even off duty, must always be beyond reproach and in conformity with the laws of the land. "If not, all our efforts thus far to implement institutional reforms may come to naught," he said. (Source: Malaysiakini)
Correct. On or off duty, those in MACC better be corruption-proof. News abound in blogosphere about the son of someone in ACA convicted for child porn. I wonder if he has any reproach at all.

Malaysiakini: PAK LAH PLANNING TO STAY...

Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who clashed dramatically with his predecessor when he came to power, has said he won't "embarrass" the government when he leaves office next month. Abdullah told a public forum late yesterday that he planned to devote himself to fishing, gardening and planting trees when he steps aside in favour of deputy premier Najib Abdul Razak on March 31. The prime minister, who is being squeezed out after disastrous results in general elections a year ago, said he may also have some sort of official role but that it would not conflict with the new leadership. "Maybe there is something that I want to do but let me discuss first with Najib. Whatever I do, I do not want to embarrass the government," he said according to the New Straits Times. (Source: Abdullah says won't embarass new leader - Malaysiakini)

In the meantime, The Malaysian Insider reported:
At a dinner soiree in honour of his time as prime minister last night, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi wistfully admitted that he was planning to stay for two terms until it was cut short by the transition plan.

I think Pak Lah will certainly keep his promise not to interfere in the affairs of the government once he resigns but then again, we may never know. I think Dr M promised that too...hmmm...Pak Lah said maybe some sort of official role...?

Malaysiakini: ANOTHER BY-ELECTION IN 60 DAYS

Sarawak Assistant Minister for Sports and Agriculture Dublin Unting Ingkot, 53, passed away at 1.26am today.He fell into a coma following a stroke in May last year after he gave a radio interview in Kuching and subsequently underwent a three-hour surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain. He had since failed to recover from his coma.

dublin unting ingkotUnting was state assemblyperson for Batang Ai, a rural constituency in northeast Sarawak close to the Indonesia’s West Kalimantan border.
A vice-president of Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS), Unting was serving his second term as an assistant minister.
As the next state election will not be due until May 2011, the Election Commission could be calling a by-election in the next 60 days in Batang Ai.Unting defeated Nicholas Bawin Anggat from Snap in the Iban-majority seat at the 2006 state election. Bawin has since joined PKR and is the party’s state vice-chairperson. (Source: PRS state rep Dublin Unting dies - Malaysiakini)

Malaysiakini: LOOK INTO IT...LOOK INTO IT...LOOK INTO IT...

The government does not condone any extrajudicial killings and will look into complaints that the police were targeting Indian Malaysians in wake of the controversial shootings of six suspected criminals in Kulim, Kedah. "This is a serious matter. We will look into it," Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak told reporters after chairing the cabinet committee on Indian affairs in Parliament today. This was the second meeting of the committee which was formed soon after the last general election to look into the affairs of the Indian community. The 90-minute meeting today was also attended by MIC president S Samy Vellu and all three MIC parliamentarians - S Subramaniam, M Saravanan and K Devamany. "If there are any individuals in any organisations who are abusing their powers, appropriate action will be taken against them," said Najib. When asked on the killing of six Indians in Kulim last week, Najib said that proper investigations has to be first undertaken before any action was to be taken.
Ok lah. At least we have his words that he will look into it. Like Kugan's case, how long has the police been looking into it...now still looking into it and will still look into it until when...?

Malaysiakini: SEX TAPE REVIVAL

One year after Dr Chua Soi Lek’s
MCPX
sex DVD scandal
led to his resignation from party and government posts, the MCA deputy chief is now being investigated for allegedly performing oral sex. Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief Hasnan Hassan, when contacted by Malaysiakini today, said that the police are investigating the sex DVD under section 377(A) of the Penal Code. Section 377(A) covers carnal intercourse against the order of nature, which states that “a person who has sexual connection with another person by the introduction of the penis into the anus or mouth of the other person is said to committed carnal intercourse against the order of nature.”...He also said that there was an attempt by some quarters to revive the sex tape to continue "to discredit me, to threaten and cow me into silence". Rumours have been circulating that Chua's faction will call for an extraordinary general meeting of MCA to remove president Ong Tee Keat through a vote of no-confidence. It is believed that the redistribution of the DVD is being seen as a way of keeping Chua at bay. (Source: Malaysiakini)
Poor Chua. Sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga. Once bitten, didn't die. Twice bitten, surely die?! This is the reality of politics happening in Malaysia. Sad indeed. 8=|

Malaysiakini: ANWAR AND KHALID SHOULD STEP DOWN

Selangor PAS wants a "heart to heart" meeting with Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim to enable him to clear the air over the ‘car and cows’ graft allegations leveled against him. In a 'less than full support' statement, Selangor PAS said Khalid should reveal the decisions that he expects to make in dealing with the allegations. “If Khalid is to be prosecuted, we urge that his reaction is based on rationality in order to protect the image of the state government while respecting the rule of law.” Though PAS did not specify what Khalid should do if he was charged in court, the Islamic party appeared to strongly hint that the menteri besar should step down...Selangor PAS, while expressing support for MACC in the fight against corruption, said the commission must act “without fear or favour”. “We hope that Khalid will not be victimised by any party with the intention of destabilising the Pakatan Rakyat government in Selangor,” read the statement. “We are behind him fully and we support his efforts to place Selangor under the framework of clean, transparent and governance with integrity.” (Source: Malaysiakini)
Now is the time for the component parties of Pakatan Rakyat to stand by each other even more but why does PAS Selangor seem to adopt the 'holier-than-thou' attitude? If Khalid were to be charged and 'pressured' to resign, all the more Anwar should step down since he has been charged for sodomy. One is innocent until proven guilty. That is justice and I am sure that is the principle that PAS upholds.

[shine jesus shine] lord, the light of your love - graham kendrick

He put this song in my heart today:

Lord, the light of your love is shining
In the midst of the darkness, shining
Jesus, Light of the world, shine upon us
Set us free by the truth you now bring us
Shine on me, shine on me

Shine, Jesus, shine
Fill this land with the Father's glory
Blaze, Spirit, blaze
Set our hearts on fire
Flow, river, flow
Flood the nations with grace and mercy
Send forth your word
Lord, and let there be light

Lord, I come to your awesome presence
From the shadows into your radiance
By the blood I may enter your brightness
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness
Shine on me, shine on me

As we gaze on your kingly brightness
So our faces display your likeness
Ever changing from glory to glory
Mirrored here may our lives tell your story
Shine on me, shine on me

Malaysiakini: NO LABU, NO NUMBER YET

The government has confirmed it has vetoed an ambitious plan by budget carrier AirAsia to build a RM1.6 billion airport in Labu, Negri Sembilan. Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak said the proposal was scrapped because the carrier's partner in the project, conglomerate Sime Darby, refused to contribute RM800 million in construction costs. "If they did not contribute, there is no basis for the project to be considered," he said, according to state news agency Bernama late Sunday. Najib, who is expected to be appointed prime minister next month, said he had received confirmation of Sime Darby's position in "black and white". (Source: Malaysiakini)
From The Malaysian Insider - Najib: No number yet for mini-budget. But it would be certainly bigger and more comprehensive than the last RM7 billion fiscal stimulus package (unveiled on Nov 4), he told Malaysian journalists covering the Special Asean+3 Finance Ministers' Meeting which ended here Sunday.
Again, I'm no economic expert but I think no labu is a good thing as long as no labu means no money going down the drain. Also, the finance minister seems to be slow in decision making in financial matters. Maybe too preoccupied with other 'financial' matters? How many million for Perak, Kedah and Selangor? ;=)

Malaysiakini: WILL CHINESE SCHOOL BE PUNISHED?

A government-assisted Chinese primary school in Puchong, Selangor, may fall victim to the vicious ongoing feud between Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat. The SJK(C) Sin Ming school board had invited PKR’s Khalid Ibrahim, in his capacity as Selangor menteri besar, to officiate the school’s new four-storey building today. This apparently did not go down well with the Education Ministry. In addition, the choice of guest of honour, PKR de facto leader and Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, is likely to irk the ministry even further. In response, the education authorities have barred the school’s headmaster and teachers from the event, according to board chairperson Chai Yoon Peng...No BN leaders could be seen at the event, though Chai claimed that invitations were sent to key federal and state reps from Umno, MCA and Gerakan. “No one should view education issues through a political lens,” said Chai, adding that the school board would invite anyone who is willing to assist the school...Later, Anwar was asked to write the proverb in Chinese calligraphy which was auctioned off to a sum of RM150,000 to school board advisor Yan Khoon Yin, after a fierce auction following an opening bid of RM18,000...At a press conference later, Anwar responded to the possibility that the Education Ministry may withhold funding for the school. Sure lah, may withold...if the Edu Min decides to punish the school for inviting Anwar, it is only showing its insincerity to serve. Simple as that. What is all the talk of no race shall be sidelined, the interest of each race shall be taken care of etc...

Malaysiakini: KHALID INNOCENT WHILE SON OF ACA DIRECTOR CONVICTED?

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Ahmad Said Hamdan has violated the rule of law by a issuing public prejudgment that "there was strong and good evidence" against Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim in alleged wrongdoing in the maintenance of a luxury car and purchase of sacrificial cows. In taking Ahmad to task over his statement yesterday, DAP national chairperson Karpal Singh today demanded that the MACC chief publicly clarify the basis on which such public disclosure on the findings of a graft investigation were released before prosecution was even instituted...He called on Ahmad to initiate further action into the VK Lingam case, in which a Royal Commission inquiry had found strong evidence revealing misuse of powers and conflict of interests. He questioned why even after a year, MACC was yet to charge anyone in connection with the VK Lingam case, while the commission had been "so efficient" in handling Abdul Khalid’s case. Karpal also chided former Selangor Menteri Besar Mohd Khir Toyo for suggesting that Abdul Khalid should resign if he were to be charged in court for graft. "Under the law, one is innocent until proven guilty. So I don’t think Abdul Khalid needs to step down as menteri besar here," he told newsmen. (Source: Malaysiakini)

Throat pain / infection, nausea
Back pain, muscle ache, some dots on hands and feet
On-and-off fever sometimes as high as 39 degrees Celsius.
Day 4 to Day 6:
Fever gradually subsides, lower white cell count and decreased hematocrit
Tiredness and loss of appetite, shortness of breath
Day 7 to Day 9:
Major rash and itchiness - palms and feet will be visibly red.
Tiredness and loss of appetite
TIPS: Drink lotsa water, 100 plus or juice made from papaya leaves (even doctors recommend it!).

Malaysiakini: MY 5-SEN QC, NO NEED GO OVERSEAS

From Malaysiakini - Perak tussle: Umno seeks QC's opinion:
Umno is seeking the opinion of a Queen’s Counsel (QC) on the constitutional issues which have bedeviled Barisan Nasional’s takeover of the Perak state government from Pakatan Rakyat. A senior constitutional lawyer left Kuala Lumpur yesterday for London to engage the services of a QC on behalf of Umno to advise the party on a host of questions that is roiling debate in the country...Mohd Nizar has subsequently gone to court seeking an interpretation of the Perak constitution on whether the menteri besar’s post can be vacated when:

(a) The menteri besar had advised the ruler on dissolution of the state legislative assembly;

(b) There was no dissolution of the assembly;

(c) There was no motion of confidence against the menteri besar in the state legislative assembly;

(d) The menteri besar did not resign.

...

Sources say the QC that will be engaged by Umno is likely to be someone who has already appeared in the courts here in a span going back almost three decades.

It is believed that a QC who has appeared in cases in Singapore is also on the shortlist.

Three high-profile QCs who have previously appeared in Malaysia and Singapore to argue on complex issues of law have been Michael Beloff, Anthony Lester and Geoffrey Robertson.
Lester was engaged by the Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) as counsel when the late Mustapha Datu Harun sued Sabah governor Adnan Roberts and Chief Minister Pairin Kitingan for restoration as chief minister in 1985. Mustapha lost the case.

The judgment handed down was then viewed as having established the precedents that a ruler can appoint as chief minister a member of the legislative assembly who in his opinion commands the confidence of a majority in the House, and that once appointed, a chief minister is obliged to quit if he loses a no-confidence motion in the legislature.

MY 5-SEN QC:
Based on my limited layman's understanding on the above para, it tells me that 'Sultan Perak can appoint Zambry (a member of the legislative assembly) who in the Sultan's opinion commands the confidence of a majority in the House as chief minister, and that once appointed, Nizar is obliged to quit if he loses a no-confidence motion in the legislature.
Ladies and gentleman, based on the above para, my personal opinion is that Nizar is still the legitimate Menteri Besar of Perak. Reason being there is no motion of confidence against him, much less losing a no-confidence in the legislature.

Isaiah 54 (New King James Version)

1 “Sing, O barren,
You who have not borne!
Break forth into singing, and cry aloud,
You who have not labored with child!
For more are the children of the desolate
Than the children of the married woman,” says the LORD.
2 “ Enlarge the place of your tent,
And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
Do not spare;
Lengthen your cords,
And strengthen your stakes.
3 For you shall expand to the right and to the left,
And your descendants will inherit the nations,
And make the desolate cities inhabited.
4 “ Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed;
Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame;
For you will forget the shame of your youth,
And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.
5 For your Maker is your husband,
The LORD of hosts is His name;
And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel;
He is called the God of the whole earth.
6 For the LORD has called you
Like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit,
Like a youthful wife when you were refused,”
Says your God.
7 “ For a mere moment I have forsaken you,
But with great mercies I will gather you.
8 With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment;
But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,”
Says the LORD, your Redeemer.
9 “ For this is like the waters of Noah to Me;
For as I have sworn
That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth,
So have I sworn
That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
10 For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed,
But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,”
Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.
11 “ O you afflicted one,
Tossed with tempest, and not comforted,
Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems,
And lay your foundations with sapphires.
12 I will make your pinnacles of rubies,
Your gates of crystal,
And all your walls of precious stones.
13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD,
And great shall be the peace of your children.
14 In righteousness you shall be established;
You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear;
And from terror, for it shall not come near you.
15 Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me.
Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake.
16 “ Behold, I have created the blacksmith
Who blows the coals in the fire,
Who brings forth an instrument for his work;
And I have created the spoiler to destroy.
17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
And their righteousness is from Me,”
Says the LORD.

Malaysiakini: MONKEY AROUND IN ROYAL COURT

Malaysiakini: NOW EVERYONE MUST CHECK THEIR ROOMS FOR CAMERAS

A large PKR dinner function in Petaling Jaya last night was supposed to be an upbeat fund raiser filled with song and dance. But as the night progressed, the tune slowly changed. This was despite the party and its supporters having legitimate reasons to celebrate. In a month, PKR will be celebrating the first anniversary of its reign over Selangor. In a few more months, the party will turn a decade old. But last night, the party had no choice but to celebrate its milestones while fending off a spate of crises that have stricken the party. Even the man of the night, de facto party leader Anwar Ibrahim, was in no mood to celebrate and showed up guns ablazing. "They rob your money. They take your land. They steal contracts. But when we give cows to the poor, they want to charge us," said a livid Anwar, who apologised several times during his 30-minute speech over an uncharacteristic and unbridled display of anger...Although angry during much of his speech, Anwar appeared in a happier mood when talking about Wong." Me and (my wife Dr Wan) Azizah (Wan Ismail) now check our rooms for cameras. Every night before we sleep, I ask Azizah, ‘Are you sure you have checked?’" he quipped, prompting laughter from the floor. (Source: Malaysiakini)
I now wonder. Every time Chua checks in a room, does he check out the room too? ;)

Malaysiakini: I KNOW WHERE HILMI MALEK IS

Hilmi Malek is on facebook. HAHA. Ok, bad joke but seriously, he is currently believed to be in Indonesia. From Malaysiakini: The police today called on Elizabeth Wong's ex-boyfriend to come forward and assist investigations into the circulation of her nude photographs. Kuala Lumpur police chief ACP Mohd Sabtu Osman said her ex-boyfriend, whom he confirmed as PKR member Hilmi Malek, 32, is currently believed to be in Indonesia. The police also denied media reports that two individuals were detained in connection with the case yesterday. Mohd Sabtu clarified that two Malay Mail journalists were called in to have their statements recorded at the Petaling Jaya district police headquarters last night. He said that for the moment, the ex-lover is the sole suspect in the case. “He can help us solve this case,” said Mohd Sabtu at a press conference this afternoon at the Kuala Lumpur police contingent. “He should come forward and clear his name. That is most important,” he said, adding that if he refused to come forward, the police would look for him. (Step forward: Cops urge Wong's ex-lover)

Old Town WHITE COFFEE @ Old Town PJ

Last Tuesday, before going to Assunta, my wife and I had lunch at Old Town WHITE COFFEE.

Ambience aside, I think the quality of 'OldTown Nasi Lemak Special' has dropped even though the price has increased. The chunk of chicken was hard and tasted like 'chemical' chicken. It used to be priced @ RM6.30 and was cheaper than RM6.30 initially. Now its price is RM6.80.

My wife ordered the 'OldTown Prawn Mee'. It tasted so-so only.

Malaysiakini: MACC FAIR TO ALL OR ONLY TO UMNO?

Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim could be charged in connection with the allegations of abuse of power in the maintenance of a luxury car and purchase of sacrificial cows. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today said it has strong evidence against him. Speaking to reporters in Penang, MACC chief commissioner Ahmad Said Hamdan said investigations have been wrapped up and it is up to the attorney-general to take further action. "The MACC can decide but it would be better for the attorney-general to consider and take action, it involves a VIP and we have to be fair to everyone," he said. (Source: Malaysiakini) MACC fair to everyone? Hmm...has any investigation been carried out on graft cases lodged by Badrul Hisham of PKR against Umno VIPs on Jan 2, 2009. He said, "The report lodged today covers three areas - old cases where there is strong evidence of prosecution but no action taken, money politics in Umno and also present and past government officers alleged to be involved in corrupt practices." Why is MACC so fast to investigate Khalid and so slow to investigate report(s) lodged against Umno VIPs?

So, is MACC FAIR TO ALL or ONLY to Umno?

Malaysiakini: ANOTHER BLACK-EYE REPORT AGAINST MUSA AND GANI

PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim today lodged a police report against Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail and Inspector General of Police Musa Hassan, alleging that they were involved in a conspiracy to fabricate an arrest warrant which led to his arrest in 1998. Anwar, who appeared at the Damansara police station this morning, said the then assistant commissioner of police Koh Hang San had effected an arrested under Section 377B of the Penal Code but then lodged a police report that he (Anwar) was arrested under the Internal Security Act (ISA). Referring to a report by the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the 'black eye' incident, Anwar said Abdul Gani and Musa were involved in another instance of fabricating evidence. "The facts (in the royal commission report) also showed that they (Abdul Gani and Musa) had fabricated a false police report in relation to my arrest made by Koh... stating that I was arrested under the ISA instead of the sodomy allegations that were cited to me by Koh when he arrested me at my home a few hours earlier on Sept 21, 1998," said Anwar. (Malaysiakini) Is the IGP most 'tainted' policeman in the world with police reports made against him? Can a 'tainted' IGP continue to lead an org of law enforcers? I doubt.

Malaysiakini: POLICE LOOKING FOR MISSING EX

Activists and members of NGOs will rally at the Malaysian consulate in New York at 11am (around midnight in Malaysia) today as a show of support for embattled Selangor executive councillor, Elizabeth Wong. Sponsored by Burma Point, Code Pink Women for Peace, East Timor and Indonesia Action Network, and Transnational Institute for Grassroots Research and Action, the rally will also serve to amplify the rights of women politicians to privacy. Wong offered to resign as Bukit Lanjan assemblyperson and Selangor executive councillor this week after nude photographs of her were distributed to various members of the press. The pictures are believed to have been taken, without her consent, by a former boyfriend. Police are currently looking for him in order to record his statement. (Source: Malaysiakini - New Yorkers to rally for Wong)
According to the Malay Mail, Hilmi has been missing since last Saturday (14 Feb), with unconfirmed reports saying he has left the country. The paper quoted Hilmi's colleagues as saying they were aware of his relationship with Wong and that the latter had revealed that they had split up recently. (Source: MYsinchew.com) Hmm...MISSING? Interesting...MISSING or HIDING? Bala has gone missing after his second SD.

Malaysiakini: BN WEAPON - MONEY AND BULLET

There are evidence linked to Barisan Nasional’s attempts to “bribe and threaten Pakatan assemblypersons” to topple the Pakatan-led state government in Kedah, claimed Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim. Speaking at a speech on the Royal Address in Parliament today, the PKR de facto leader revealed Kulim assemblyperson Lim Soo Nee was “contacted by a BN agent representing Mahadzir Khalid” (BN Kedah chairperson and former menteri besar) a month after March 8 general election. “He had persuaded Lim to defect from Pakatan to BN for RM4 million before it was raised to RM5 million. Secret meetings were also planned between Lim and Mahadzir together with the deputy prime minister (Najib Abdul Razak),” alleged Anwar...In his speech, Anwar also alleged that Bakar Arang PKR assemblyperson Tan Wei Xu had once received threats from Mahadzir to lure him to defect to BN. “Tan had told me that he was threatened many times to defect and he got frustrated with Mahadzir for his attempts. “So he told Mahadzir to stop such acts. The week after, he received three bullets,” claimed Anwar, while showing the picture of the bullets to the House. Money not enough. So now use bullet. What else is there or what else is next? I wonder...

Malaysiakini: PAK LAH EXPECTS EVERYTHING TO BE SMOOTH

The move to suspend Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abdul Kadir and his six executive councillors is tantamount to disrespecting the sultan's decision, said Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi today. "The speaker cannot do it (suspend the seven) - the menteri besar and excos were appointed by the sultan legally. This kind of action can be regarded as not respecting the sultan's decision. Eh, who said on March 23, 2008, 'Terengganu MB Appointment Unconstitutional'? Not disrespecting the sultan's decision? The prime minister has also lamented today that the crisis in Perak is affecting the federal government’s effort to deal with the global economic slowdown. "We want to focus on the economy and ensuring that the implementation of the stimulus package introduced by the government is smooth. There must not be any upheavals when we are focusing on this matter," said the prime minister. (PM: They've disrecpected sultan's decision - Malaysiakini) Ha...? This one crisis can cause the federal government to lose focus? There must not be any upheavals and expect everything to be smooth all the way? Dream on Lah...time 2 zzz

LISTEN TO 29-SEC AUDIO PROOF ON ZAKI

Malaysiakini - Audio tape on Zaki's 'corruption' surfaces:
DAP stalwart Karpal Singh today revealed an audio recording allegedly of Chief Justice Zaki Azmi admitting that he had bribed court staff. The opposition leader played the recording for journalists during a press conference at the Parliament lobby. According to Karpal, the recording was of Zaki's speech at a convention in Kuching last November on 'Integrity, the Catalyst of Sustainable Development'. The recording, which is of poor quality, was said to consist of the part where Zaki talked about bribing court staff when he was a lawyer.

Poor quality indeed. So, Malaysiakini puts it at the end:
Due to the poor quality of the recording, please refer to the following transcript when listening to the audio file.

"It took me six months to be nice, to bribe each and every individual to get back into their good books before our files were attended to."

"That is my personal experience, I am telling this to all the clerks and all the registries to stop this nonsense."

Malaysiakini: LATEST BALANCE OF POWER IN PERAK. PR RULEZ!

The Perak state assembly's special privileges committee today suspended the state's newly-minted menteri besar Zambry Abdul Kadir and all his six executive councillors. The decision was announced by Perak state assembly speaker V Sivakumar after the committee's inquiry proceeding in Ipoh this afternoon. Zambry was slapped with an 18-month suspension while the excos have been suspended for 12 months. The latest development plunges Perak into another crisis following BN's seizure of the state government two weeks ago. Sivakumar is still the Perak speaker as the BN government has yet to convene the state assembly to replace him with one of their own. In a statement to the media, Sivakumar said the decision was reached because the seven had failed to provide an explanation for their contempt of the state assembly by declaring themselves menteri besar and excos. "I have decided to bar Datuk Zambry with immediate effect from attending any assembly session for the next 18 months and the six exco members have also been barred for 12 months," read the four-paragraph statement. (Source: Malaysiakini)
WAH..don't play play oh...the speaker also wields a lot of power oh...hehe...Siva, you're the man!!

Malaysiakini: WHAT CAT DOES NOT FEAST ON FISH?

"She is a single person. How can she allow a man into her room when they are not married? What's the status of the relationship," said former Selangor MB Dr Mohd Khir Toyo.

My blood boiled when I read this in Malaysiakini's Nude photos: Wong offers to quit

Chua Soi Lek wasn't spared from the wonder of technology - a vid cam neatly and secretly lodged in the hotel room. Well, someone could have lodged a camera in Elizabeth's bedroom but of course, her ex-boyfriend is now the main suspect. So, don't condemn this ex-boyfriend, whoever he is, I think his name will be known soon...hehe...remember, Elizabeth is the victim here.

Moreover, what Khir said doesn't hold water. She was sleeping. If a pervert guy wants to feast on a naked body, he'd do anything. That's why there are voyeurs. There's a Chinese saying, 'What cat doesn't feast on fish?' hehehe...don't try to put on a holy front lah...Every man is the same....hehehe

Malaysiakini: SO WITH ELIZABETH GONE, WHO IS NEXT?

The title of my post is taken from a SMS I received from a friend today at 5:24 pm:
So with Elizabeth gone, i wonder who's the next victim!

I wonder too...I think all MPs and Aduns of PR had better be on their toes. There seems to be a 'mastermind' behind all the latest 'fallout' of elected reps. Read RPK's 'Are Kedah and Selangor next?' if you haven't already read.
F
rom Malaysiakini - Nude photos: Wong offers to quit
Selangor executive councillor Elizabeth Wong today offered to quit her state cabinet post and state assembly seat following her nude photographs controversy. Wong, who first appeared calm, could not hold back her tears when announcing her decision at a packed press conference at the PKR headquarters in Tropicana, Damansara. "I have received overwhelming support from my family, my constituents, colleagues in Pakatan Rakyat, friends and the public. "However, in the interests of the party, I have decided to offer my resignation as exco and state rep," she said.

Malaysiakini: SAD SYED SPEAKING

Both government and opposition politicians have condemned the actions of those who were involved in leaking nude pictures of Bukit Lanjan assemblyperson Elizabeth Wong. Selangor Mentri Besar Khalid Ibrahim, asked if Wong would be asked for her resignation, said the state government would look into all aspects of the incident before making a decision on the matter.
What other parliamentarians said:

Teresa Kok, Seputeh MP and Kinrara assemblyperson
I’ve started to worry about being in my own home... I am afraid there could be a camera in my bathroom. I truly feel sad and sorry for (Wong) after she told me about it yesterday. I had a bad dream last night and I can understand how this kind of thing can haunt a woman. I urge the police to take this matter seriously and I hope the culprit can charged. Why should she resign? Our job is to serve to people. It is not similar to the sex scandal involving (former Health Minister Dr) Chua Soi Lek because he is a married man and he was engaged in something that was morally wrong.
Noraini Ahmad, Deputy Human Resources Minister
Regardless of (who it is), we have to have respect their privacy and it has to be protected. We should also educate society to refrain from invading people's privacy.
R Sivarasa, Subang MP
It is a gross invasion of her privacy. The photos had fallen into the hands of unscrupulous people and they have passed it around. If she has to resign because of this, everything you do in private will become public.
Syed Hamid Albar, Home Minister
PKR has a lot of problematic people and they should settle their problems first before deciding to become the people's representatives in Parliament or even in the state assembly. Well, if she is the victim... I do not know... she is entitled to make a police report and the police will investigate. You may take naked photos in your private home, but you have to make sure the the public will not get it. In this case it is too early to say who is responsible.
Nazri Abdul Aziz, Minister in Prime Minister's Department
I sympathise with the executive councillor, this thing should have not happened as she the people's representative and she had been performing her duties. Therefore, to foil what she has done for the community in this manner is not good. But I hope her spirits (remain strong) and she will not bother about what has happened.
Chew Mei Fun, Wanita MCA chief
...We would like to advise all women to be cautious. We also urged the government to strictly enforce the implementation of the Act, which provides for punitive measures so that it becomes a real deterrent against such detestable behaviour...

Syed said, '
You may take naked photos in your private home, but you have to make sure the the public will not get it. In this case it is too early to say who is responsible.' Oh hello, a thief is a thief. No one knows when a thief will strike. Nothing is 100% 'thief-proof' . Also, stealing simply means taking something with one's permission. So, putting the onus on the victim? Sad.
