Sosilawati Murder: Sosilawati’s death evitable if police not slacking or ignoring missing persons reports

Ismail also said that the police had formed a task force to investigate all missing persons linked to the lawyers, said to number between four and 17, based on statements given by the suspects.
He added that all missing person reports must be investigated immediately and thoroughly to avoid similar incidents in future, and admitted that Sosilawati’s death could have been prevented if fast action had been taken.
“I have already instructed my men that there should be no more slacking. Those caught slacking or ignoring missing persons reports will be severely reprimanded,” he said.

MM reported that two missing persons case linked to Sosilawati's murder suspect - one was an Indian national and the other a Malaysian Chinese.

A question with a few possible answers:
1. Why did the police slack on the job or worse still, ignore missing persons reports? Is it because:
i. Too many reported cases of missing persons
ii. The missing persons were unimportant unlike Sosilawati, a Datuk
iii. The missing persons were were non-Malays, thus of less importance
iv. The police lacked the specific skills to investigate missing persons
v. The police were 'paid' to slack or ignore - in this 'Sosilawati Murder' case, the "Datuk lawyer" boasted that even the police could not touch them ("Datuk lawyer" and his brother, also a lawyer)

Looks like the police force needs a massive overhaul!

The word 'RAJA" must be removed from PDRM until they can show to all Malaysians including the Ruler's Council that they are worthy of that word!
