Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) assistant enforcement officer Mohd Ashraf Mohd Yunus said today police tried to link him to Teoh Beng Hock's death.
He told the Royal Commission of Inquiry investigating the cause of the political aide's death that police interrogated him on July 18, 2009, two days after Teoh was found dead and said that he was interrogated as if he had killed Teoh when he asked by MACC lawyer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah today about the questions that the police had asked about Teoh.
Earlier, Bar Council lawyer N Nahendran asked Mohd Ashraf if he was ever accused of any disciplinary matter in MACC, to which Mohd Ashraf answered “no”. Nevertheless, when Nahendran asked if there were police reports lodged against him for committing violence during interrogations, he said “yes”.
