The Teoh Beng Hock Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) today instructed three psychiatrists - two from government hospitals and engaged by the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), while the third is a private psychiatrist engaged by the Bar Council - to interview Teoh's colleagues, police interrogator and family, including his wife Soh Cher Wei, to determine Teoh's mental state before he died.
Commission chairperson James Foong said this morning in the courtroom of Jalan Duta court building. that Soh is an important witness in the case but so far, there is no statement (from her).
Foong also said that although Teoh's family had earlier refused to be interviewed by psychiatrists, the commission will try their best to convince them.
