Petrol price to come down after Sept 16!!!! (www.malaysiakini.com)

That's right. That's what the PM-in-waiting, Anwar Ibrahim said at the end of the press conference. Click here to watch the video at http://www.youtube.com/malaysiakini
He said, '...as soon as the Pakatan Rakyat forms the government, the price of petrol will certainly come down. I will resign immediately if I do not lower the price after being chosen.'

Malaysia formally came into being on September 16, 1963, consisting of Malaya, Singapore (now 'defunct'), Sabah, and Sarawak.

So, let us hope for the best. A new hope for Malaysia! A NEW MALAYSIA on September 16, 2008! YEAH!

Why Sep 16 ? How long can the rakyat suffer or why should we allow these idiots more time to plunder the country ? By Sep 16, they may have cleaned out all the Petronas's coffers.
Only an idiot will think that the petrol and diesel increases have little and no effects on other industries and products. Not to mention TNB 's increase in tariff next month. Thats the simplistic thinking of this PM and his FM, what a jokers pair !

Remove that deadly cancer, throw out this rotten tyranny, right now!!!

It is the right time that this grossly rotten, corrupt and incompetent flip flop tyranny that remove the so-called fuel subsidies & increase the electricity tariffs should also be removed by whatever means necessary & to accomplish this, all & whoever, MPs from both BN or Pakatan Rakyat, it is your call now and as all the people of Malaysia are firmly behind you to remove this rot. Cannot imagine that a nett producer & nett exporter of Crude Oil has to do this, look at Brunei, Saudi Arabia and many other crude oil nett exporters, there are no increases of prices of Petrol & Diesel at their pumps as both & all are nett producers and nett exporters of Crude Oil and they are now enjoying a boost to their state coffers & economies with a whopping windfall in oil prices of the current US$139/- per barrel that earned them huge foreign exchange reserves from their Crude Oil exports. But in Malaysia the reverse is true as there is no boost to the economy, but only sadness prevailed because the foreign exchange reserves from Crude Oil nett exports earned are poorly managed or badly mis-managed and no one knows where all the profits over the years had gone and we are saying all the 700 or more Billions earned had disappeared and there is no accountability by the tyranny power that be. All Malaysians including those unborn ones have been betrayed by this cancer who has caused all these serious crimes, anarchies, chaos and inflations beyond comprehensions owing to the greed by this cancerous corrupted power hungry Moron who intended to stick to power beyond his welcome!!!

Explain to the Malaysians first on the mechanism that Pakatan has to reduce the current petrol price.

By "mechanism" I don't mean setting up committess etc. etc. explain to the Malaysians with hard facts and figures.

Please bear in mind, oil price hike is a global issue and is not limited to domestic only. Some way or the other, we will be effected.

Pakatan's mechanism must show the details to overcome the current oil price issue but also to overcome possible higher fuel prices in the future.

We have learned a lot from Pak Lah, mere talk is not enough to get the people's support. Show to us first.

Hi Crower,
Since Petronas exports our oil, we should also allow Petronas to import the oil direct, rather than the country. Then the sales revenue will be used to offset the cost of sales. If the mechanism is correct, Petronas should still show tons of profits as we export more than we import and our Msian high quality oil fetch higher price than the imported oil. Petronas should then report to Parliament. If we follow this,we will see that Petronas's other investments in other oilfields , MISC and many other mining companies are also generating income for Petronas. I bet my last dollar that Petronas will not go bust even if we ran out of oil. With oil prices at this level, we can explore for more smaller oil fields, which were not feasible in the past.
Unless something sinister has happened....did Petronas sell forward all its 2008 production to "someone" well below market price ???? Thats why they raise prices overnite? And in a hurry too. I remembered that happened many years back, it bring back memories of all these connected oil brokers.
Petronas will never go bust as we are still net exporter unless someone has "busted" it.
Only the PM know and his action so far points towards something drastic and evil has happened.Dont forget he was tainted in the Oil for Food programme and we are talking about oil now.

Come sept 16, the prices of most things, edible and non edible will have gone up. So even if the PM in waiting lowers the price of petrol, businessmen and traders will certainly not do their part. Their excuse: other costs have risen. So we rakyat are still no better off.
