Father's First: Baby vomit

A week or two weeks ago, Janson vomitted in dramatic style as described here in birthnet.com.au:
Your baby may have little 'delicate' vomits that just overflow gently from their mouth, or they may vomit with dramatic style, in a great gush coming from their mouth and nose! (A very attractive party trick!)

As parents, we tend to be concerned but according to birthnet.com.au:
Once the baby is taking larger volumes of milk, it is very normal for them to vomit, or 'regurgitate', part of their milk around feed time.

Indeed, baby Janson is taking larger volumes of milk by the month. Today marks the end of his second month.

Thank You Lord for a healthy baby and the beginning of his three-month-old journey tomorrow.

Saiful washing pants in public, 'licin' and 'liwat'

All of us know by now who the accuser is. His name is Saiful (sounds like 'wash pants' in Cantonese).

Why does he want to wash his dirty linen in public or wash his pants in public?

I'll just let the pictures speak...he looks so 'licin'. Is it any wonder why he was 'diliwat'?

Picture from rocky's bru but origin is here.

Hmm....the lady in blue looks familiar...(Pictures from Malaysia Today)

Oh, btw, Saiful is engaged. Check out his beautiful bride-to-be here and here.

How to rotate 3GP video from 'landscape' to 'potrait'?

I've been taking videos on my SE K550i phone on 'landscape' unknowingly. I only know today that I can't rotate the original 3gp file to 'portrait'.

So, did a bit of research on Google. Thankfully, there are solutions.

Firstly, download the free 3GP video converter here.

After that, import the file into the Window Movie Maker, drag a clip and dropped it on the timeline. Then, select 'Rotate 90' in 'Edit Movie' step. Lastly, save it!

Presto, you now have your video converted and rotated!

The hope of nations, the hope of Malaysia

This morning, I was moved by the song 'Mighty To Save' by Marty Sampson.

The last line of the first stanza spoke to me - 'The hope of nations'.

Everyone needs compassion
Love thats never failing
Let mercy fall on me
Anyone needs forgiveness
The kindness of a Saviour
The hope of nations

Jesus, You are the Saviour and the hope of nations, the hope of Malaysia. Click here for lyrics and here to listen to the song.

Pakatan Rakyat: Gotong-royong with the rakyat

YB's back...

Hubby at her back...

The head of Melayu residents talking...

The rakyat listening...

Can't wait to start...

This morning, I was at a 'gotong-royong' at the low-cost apartment at SS13 Subang Jaya (SJ). It was jointly organized by YB Hannah Yeoh and my church in cooperation with MPSJ. Though SJ is not my constituency (I 'Cheras' mah), I am glad to have played my part in charity.

The head of the SS13 Melayu resident (forgot his name) gave a short speech before the 'gotong-royong' started. He said that the apartment was the oldest in SJ yet there was no MP or states assemblyman that had ever visited its residents and YB Hannah Yeo was the first to do so. At this point, all the people cheered and clapped.

Later, I had the chance to chat with YB's hubby and asked him, 'How is it like to be a YB's hubby?' He replied, 'Very hectic.'

Thank God for fair weather and good teamwork shown by everyone from the kids to the adults.

Have a wonderful weekend peeps!

Don't 'pour' your life away!

I remember, eighteen or nineteen years ago during the 'World Cup' season, my classmate asked the Accounts teacher, 'Do you gamble?'

He asked in return, 'Tell me, what is 'gamble' in Cantonese?'

My classmate said, 'Tou.'

'Exactly,' the teacher said. 'What's the point of gambling when you are going to 'pour' it all away?'

What he said 'poured' a lot of sense to us teenagers at that time. We nodded in agreement.

Why am I relating this incident in my life? Reason being the news about the farm manager who 'poured' his life away by drinking weed killer after a gaming loss. (Read here in The Star Online).

Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Dr M, please stop accusing the 'accuser'. (www.malaysiakini.com)

You can be dead sure of the reaction of our politicians if there is a confrontation. It is either denial or accusation.

Najib says Raja Petra is a liar
while Dr M says Raja Petra's accusation a political ploy. Read here in Malaysiakini.

There is nothing that Raja Petra can gain from fighting for the deceased, is there?

Dr M, you have had your much publicised political ploys too, the latest being your quitting UMNO.

Be fair lah. Like you, Raja Petra is also a citizen of Malaysia.

Like you, Raja Petra is one man against the Government.

BN BREAKDOWN!

Message on my cousin's Windows Live Messenger:
steel +30%, petrol +40%, cement and stone +20%,electricity +20%,rice +100%,paper +20%

No need for anyone to tell us what the breakdown means.

Today, four Pakatan Rakyat MPs cycled to Parliament as a mark of protest against the recent fuel hike while the head honcho and his horde have all voted in support of the the motion on the price increase of oil and other goods and on ways to overcome it. (Read here and here in The Star Online)

Let me tell you this - there is only one way to overcome it.

It is for Barang Naik to disintegrate, to decompose, to breakdown! BN BREAKDOWN!

Altantuya Murder Trial: Damning Document

Click here to read ' Rosmah at murder scene' at Malaysia Today.

Click here to read the STATUTORY DECLARATION made by Raja Petra Kamarudin.

Click here to read 'Who is Aziz Buyong?' at *SUSAN LOONE's blog*.

While we may be distracted by the price-hike issue that is hurting our pockets, we must not forget the on-going Altantuya murder trial.

It has taken a new 'twist' with the explosion of allegations from Raja Petra Kamarudin. He has defied, so-to-speak, the authority of the ministry of defense of hell and is ready to sent to hell. Will justice be served?

Go Genting YAY

Thank God for a terrific trip yesterday, Saturday. It was planned the night before. Yeah, impromptu.

The five of us, B-A-O (hehe), MJ and I went there. Victory wanted to come along but he just couldn't (Thanks Vic for bringing the B-A-O to my house. Wish you could have joined us). We did some 'siao' stuff but nothing extreme. Hehe...

MJ had her 'My Biggest Pride' moment, Brenda her 'high' moment (literally!), Amanda her 'poser' moment, Olivia her 'go-go-go' moment and me, just my 'happy' moment. 8=)

As Brenda put it, yesterday was our friendship 'anniversary'. 8D

What happened to the murder trial? Has it "disappeared" like Altantuya?

The title of this post is a question by someone by the name of Bill Peter who commented in my old blog, www.hischarge.wordpress.com

Good question, Bill! I wish I have the answer.

Coincidentally, Raja Petra Kamarudin, a well-known Malaysian blogger, now charged with sedition for implicating the Deputy PM and his wife in one of his articles, has made an explosive revelation in his blog today.

On June 18, 2008, he made a statutory declaration:
1. I have been reliably informed that between about 10 p.m. on 19th October 2006 and early hours of the following day, the night Altantuya Shaariibuu was murdered, three (3) other people were also present at the scene of the crime;

(a) Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak...(For more information, read here in Malaysia Today)

BN MPs summoned to show up by UMNO

All 140 Barisan Nasional MPs have been ordered to attend the whole duration of the Dewan Rakyat’s three-week meeting beginning next week as a precaution against the Sabah Progressive Party’s bid to file a vote of no-confidence against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. This was immediately decided at the BN supreme council meeting Abdullah chaired at the Putra World Trade Centre today. (Read here at nstonline)

Wah...suddenly, ALL 140 MPs are summoned to show up by the BN supreme council. I bet the coming three weeks will be historic as all you fellows will be scoring FULL attendance.

HAHA. Aiyoyo. You BN MPs, who are holding your balls? The UMNO-led BN, of course.

Before this, did any of you care if you were absent from Parliament? Tell us lah, you represent the rakyat, right? Oh, I forgot. UMNO is your master. WUAHAHA.

I support Syariah laws! MY FOOT!

We really don't know one's true color until he is in power, do we?

Like 'The Incredible Hulk', I turned green reading about Selangor Youth PAS protesting against plans to have Ella and Mas Idayu perform at the Selangor Cup match. My blood boiled even more when I read that national PAS Youth vice-chief Azman Shapawi said that the party wanted all the Pakatan Rakyat states to implement Syariah laws. (Read here in The Star Online)

Hello! Who are you to throw your weight around? We are adults and know what is right and wrong.

The erosion of moral has nothing to do with the so-called 'evil' that is around us. So, you now want to cast stones at people who have committed crimes?

Remember the greater sin is the sin of self-righteousness and holier-than-thou attitude.

O what a night!

Last night, at about quarter to nine, my car came to a halt when its clutch gave way. The car was stalled on the road, right smack in front of OLD TOWN White Coffee 3 Two Square, Section 19, PJ. Mommy and baby were at the back seat. Thankfully, we were not too far from my in-law's house.

My car is insured by AIG and the insurance comes with an account with AAM. I called my insurance agent and he helped me to arrange the tow truck to collect my car. My mom-and-bro-in-law walked from their house to keep us company. While waiting, we had coffee break at OLD TOWN White Coffee.

Finally, close to one hour later, the AAM yellow tow truck came. Now, my car is at the workshop near my house. Praise God that the towing service was free. Most of all, I thank God that my family was safe and the car didn't stop on the highway! Lastly, I hope and pray that the cost of repair to be less than RM100.

How to tell the time without a watch or a mobile phone

How to tell the time if one doesn't wear a watch? For me, my mobile phone is my 'watch'. What if I left it at home? How to tell the time then?

Well, there's another way just as I have found out a few hours ago when my wife and I shopped and strolled at Tesco Extra. We went to Watson's to buy Redoxon. After looking around at some other stuff, we finally made our way to the cashier to pay for that one-and-only item. Then, we headed to the ATM. After cashing out, my wife asked, 'What time is it? I asked her why. She just wanted to know if time was up for Janson to take his medication. I was without my 'watch'. So, I looked around for a time display. None.

Suddenly, I had an idea. I asked her to take a look at her ATM withdrawal slip. She did and the time printed was 10:05 AM. After that, we continued with our leisurely walk until we finally reached home at quarter past ten.

NATO = Najib Always Talks Only

On March 11, 2006 14:03 PM, referring to subsidies saved as a result of the 30 sen fuel price hike, Najib said in a Bernama report:
The RM4 billion would be deposited in a trust fund to improve the country's public transport system.
Today, the much hyped-up news in The Star Online about the 'Kota Damansara-Cheras rail line right on track', it said the line was announced in October 2006 by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak but little has been heard about it since then. It went on further to say that while the Government has yet to announce when work will begin on the new line...

THAT'S IT! Now we will have to wait for another 2 years at the most (or at least!?), to see the actualization of the real rail line right on track! Happy waiting, Malaysians!

Slam you, Syed Hamid!

Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar slammed the Opposition for politicising the fuel price hike issue and said protests will not solve any problems. (Click here to read in The Star Online).

Syed Hamid, politicians like you are the ones politicising issues that are in the first place non-political, by saying that the 'Opposition' are politicising when the truth is the rakyat, in one accord, want to set the record straight - we want change!

You said protests will not solve any problems. Perhaps, you are correct. Can you tell us if not protests, then what? Politicians like you are the ones asking the rakyat to change lifestyle. Can you show us how you have changed your lifestyle? We, the rakyat, would really like to see.

Lastly, remember this - The rakyat don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.

In The Star Online 'Handover pact', I shook my head in disbelief when Abdullah said:
“It's important for everyone to see the relationship between me and Najib as very crucial to strengthen Umno and the Government and to implement the development projects and programmes that have been planned”
HAHA. Umno and the Goverment?? Don't you know it's not about Umno and the Government?

It's all about everyone and the Government. The rakyat is everyone.

As easy as ABC

The headline in The Star Online says 'Road tax: Get your rebates in 3mins.'

Only 3 simple steps to claim your RM625 fuel subsidy at the post office:
1. Present your original identity card and fill up a simple form
2. Proceed to the counter where your details will be verified with Road Transport Department's database
3. Once the details are confirmed, your thumbprint will be required on the form

Presto! You will then have your cold hard cash handed over to you.

Thankfully, the post office at TESCO Extra is a mere 3-min walk from my house.

Now, that's going to be fast! I hope. 8=|

FREE GIFT (only for 18 and above)

Woohooo! Come July 8, I'm going to get my cash rebate of RM625 when I renew my road tax at the post office. Am I happy? Happy lah.

Why not? Still money mah. If you don't want, I can claim on your behalf.

I mean the government is so good to give you one-off annual subsidy. Remember, only one-off. Very memorable. Don't forget to bring your camera to the post office and take a picture of yourself claiming cash from the government.

Oh yes, by the way, Pos Malaysia Berhad is the only agent appointed to disburse this 'gift'. Read its press release here.

Little Wonders

The first time I happened to watch and hear the song 'Little Wonders' last year, I liked it instantly. After watching it until the end, did I realize that it was an original motion picture soundtrack for 'Meet the Robinsons'.

Yes, I am outdated but I am not left behind. 8D

'Meet the Robinsons' is all about an orphan who is also a young intriguing inventor in search of a family. He invents a time machine that takes him to the future. Unknowingly, he meets his wacky family to be - the Robinson.

Listening to this song reminds me of time, the small hours of our lives and little wonders that happen to us each day that we tend to take for granted. We have a roof over our head and food to eat. Most of all, we have breath to live! Thank God for that!

Who cares about new look?

I read with amusement the story, 'New look bus shelters for KL' in The Star Online.

In the first place, the effectiveness and reliability of public transport leave much to be desired.

Apparently, the company 'assigned' to design the new shelter had made a lot of adjustments after listening to public feedback. Most of the complaints were about the glass roof and that it was too hot.

Ok, that's fine but do you know that a commuter gets even HOTTER if the bus doesn't come on time or the bus comes at irregular intervals?

The company also bragged about having invested RM22mil in building the shelters. No need to tell us that because I bet with my last ringgit that you had carefully calculated your ROI!

A timely blessing in change-your-lifestyle time!

God is good all the time.

Today, after a time of appraisal with my two big bosses and superior, I was confirmed with an increment of RM300 out of which RM200 was for 'correction' - the amount that was supposed to be given to me when I first joined the company. Thus, the actual increment is RM100 upon confirmation.
Indeed, a timely blessing in change-your-lifestyle time!

I wonder which Member of Parliament does this car belong to...I captured this photo while driving to work this morning. Too bad I couldn't zoom into the badge (still getting used to my K550i mah). Otherwise, you'll see 'Ahli Parlimen Malaysia' clearly.

Hmm...isn't this BMW a gas-guzzling machine?

Now we know why the government has asked us rakyat to change lifestyle lah!

Time for us rakyat to tell the government: CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE! Cycle in style!

Petrol price to come down after Sept 16!!!! (www.malaysiakini.com)

That's right. That's what the PM-in-waiting, Anwar Ibrahim said at the end of the press conference. Click here to watch the video at http://www.youtube.com/malaysiakini
He said, '...as soon as the Pakatan Rakyat forms the government, the price of petrol will certainly come down. I will resign immediately if I do not lower the price after being chosen.'

Malaysia formally came into being on September 16, 1963, consisting of Malaya, Singapore (now 'defunct'), Sabah, and Sarawak.

So, let us hope for the best. A new hope for Malaysia! A NEW MALAYSIA on September 16, 2008! YEAH!

Wtd, we are not appreciated...

Last Tuesday, I found out from an ex-schoolmate that an ex-schoolmate would be migrating to Down Under. In my circle of friends, he is the seventh 'casualty'.

I sent him a SMS, saying, 'Wah friend, u want to leave tanah airmu soon ah? He replied, saying, 'Wtd, we are not appreciated n faced constant outright threats n intimidation.'

'Wtd?' I thought probably typo error. Perhaps, he meant 'WTF'. Anyway to clear my doubt, I asked him what 'Wtd' stood for and he replied, 'What to do'.

Unlike many Malaysians like him, I am one who believes in CHANGE though we may not see it immediately.

I pray with faith and hope in sight that one day, Malaysia will be liberated from racial injustice.

TALKING T-SHIRT

Last April, I had an idea to customize a t-shirt for my preggy wife. So, I googled for 'customized t-shirt' and found someone in Lowyat.NET who talked about his 'TALKING T-SHIRT'.

When I first emailed to him about my idea of 'baby inside' logo on the t-shirt, he replied saying that he would try to redesign back the circle. After that, he came back saying that he couldn't do the circle and suggested a few other designs that might interest me. I liked my own idea too much to accept his suggestions.

Finally, after an almost-2-week silence, he told me that he could customize my design. Cut the long story short, I got him to do two t-shirts: One is 'baby inside', another is 'food inside'. I don't need to mention 'food inside' is for who. 8|

Azmi, if you're reading this, please comment. Oh, btw, Azmi is the 'TALKING T-SHIRT' guy.

Ways to save fuel: Slow down, cut down, lay down

Price of petrol has gone up. So how?

The Road Safety Department has suddenly showed so much concern for motorists...it says that in order to save fuel we have to slow down. (Click here for story)

Let me suggest two other ways to save fuel (just my two cents worth) - cut down and lay down.

Cut down on unnecessary traveling. If you can help it, go green! Walk or ride a bicycle if short distance. That way, you'll be healthier because you are being active.

Lay down on weekends. Hibernate at home. You will have less stress and live longer because you are being passive.
Cheers! Have a happy weekend!

Because of you, Tun

Because of you, Tun
Malaysia became the envy of many
She prospered under your tyranny

Because of you, Tun
Malaysia survived in the Asian financial crisis aftermath
She had her ringgit pegged after you calculated your math

Because of you, Tun
Malaysia developed faster than she could cope
She was thrown into deep water but she still had hope

Tun, you were once our leader but now a citizen like us. Things will never be because of you, Tun.

Father's First: K550i

My first 'be-earlied' Father's Day gift from my lovely wife, MJ and son, Janson.

Faithful One

Faithful One

(Brian Doerksen)

Faithful One so unchanging
Ageless One You’re my rock of peace
Lord of all I depend on You
I call out to You, again and again
I call out to You, again and again

You are my rock in times of trouble
You lift me up when I fall down
All through the storm
Your love is the anchor
My hope is in You alone

Najib, you are a LIAR.

Image from www.jeffooi.com

Oops, you are not. I read wrongly. You said here in The Star Online that it wouldn't increase by 40 sen. Now, the increase has almost doubled! 78 sen!

Guess Guess Guess (It's Official: Petrol to cost RM2.70)

Latest update:

From The Star Online:

Petrol to cost RM2.70 from midnight (updated)

Najib, you are a LIAR.

Original posting:
Current petrol price
: RM1.92

How high will the price go up to? According to Najib in The Star Online, the increase won't be more than 40 sen. (Click here to read)

In The Star Online today, it reported that on Monday, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the Cabinet would decide today on a new fuel subsidy scheme and that it would be implemented immediately to prevent speculation but Shahrir said a new fuel subsidy scheme will be fully implemented only in August and today’s announcement is only one of the steps in the revamp. Shahrir also said that the subsidy revamp could result in petrol pumps selling fuel at market prices. (Click here to read)
So, based on these three stooges' statement, we can safely conclude that the next increase will be less than 40 sen and by August, we may pay for fuel at the market price.

Father's First: Early Morning Feed Baby

Janson woke up at almost 2 AM yesterday. Cried for milk.

Mommy was too tired. Asked me to make milk and feed him.

Fed and burped him twice. Two rounds of 2 ounces milk. Then, he went back to sleep.

Thank God that the whole process went quite smoothly. No hiccups.

Hehe...

I resumed my sleep. Four hours later, I struggled to get out of bed for work.

Pride vs Humility (www.malaysiakini.com)

I felt so humbled listening to the father of 21-year-old Chung Jiun Huar who was allegedly beaten brutally by the FRU.

In an interview with malaysiakini, the father said all he wanted was for God to bring his son back and truly thanked God for granting his request. He even said that now that his son was safe, he was not demanding nor expecting any form of compensation. (Click here to watch)

What a lesson to be learnt from Chung's father who, in my opinion, is much more learned than the Deputy Home Minister, Chor Chee Heung, who justified police action at the crime scene where Chung was being victimized. (Read the news caption here. Source: www.malaysiakini.com)

Remember, Mr. Chor, pride comes before a fall.

To blog or not to blog

As a blogger, ahem...I have a common question posed to me like, 'Why do people have so much time to blog ah?

To this question, I have a common answer, 'Blogging is a matter of priority. If you think it is important, then you will spend time on it.'

Some think that one's written language, be it English or otherwise, must be good in order to blog. No spelling error. Perfect grammar.

Let me tell you that your thinking is wrong. I tell people to blog the way they would speak.

Do you realize that when you read someone's blog, particularly someone that you know, it sounds as if the author is speaking to you in person?

June 1: Janson is 1 month 1 day old

Prayer:
Father, we
Thank You for Your grace and mercy.
Thank You for Your only Son, Jesus who was born to die to give us life.
Thank You that You have given us a healthy baby son, Janson.
Thank You that You have given us all the blessings of a family - love, joy and peace.

My published comment in www.chedet.com

In response to Dr M's 'The Racist Card' post, I said:
Tun,

My race is Chinese. So what? There are many Malaysians like me who no longer care about their countries of origin.

You said, 'It is only in Malaysia that people of immigrant origins, so identified by their insistence on being linked race-wise with their countries of origin, are actually accepted as citizens.' Only in Malaysia? How about America?

Tun, your Vision 2020 of a 'Bangsa Malaysia', is or was it real or merely a political propanganda?

Please, Tun. Do all Malaysians a big favour. Stop talking about race, not even Malays, Chinese or Indians.

Start talking about how to build Malaysia. You led the nation for 22 years. You are more Malaysian than all of us. Thank you, Tun.
Indeed, blog has proven to be the 'hi-tech' media that provides the 'high touch'. In this case, Dr M can get the people's response instantly, something that the print media cannot do.
