Anwar trial 'unfair': Param
UPDATED 7.05PM Scepticism abounds over what 'justice' Anwar will receive as he awaits the Feb 17 judgement on his appeal to strikeout sodomy charges against him.
Former United Nations special rapporteur, Param Cumaraswam (also one of Anwar's lawyers), said by international standards Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy trial has been most unfair and the manner in which the prosecution had been withholding the witness list and evidence from them was truly regrettable.
Param added, saying, "It is against the agreed principles of universal justice."
Everybody knows that in Anwar trial, Malaysia (or is it 1Malaysia?) does not agree to the principles of universal justice.
