Just came back from a 2D/1N trip. So, missed the news about 'Karpal acquitted of sedition charge'.
The Malaysian Insider reported:
1. “What was proven was the anger and hatred towards the accused, not anger and hatred towards His Royal Highness the Sultan of Perak,” judge Azman Abdullah pointed out in his decision today.
2. Justice Azman also noted that the news reporters and police involved in the investigation did not understand English and the meaning of sedition.
Who to blame for the deplorable state that the English language is in today? Who but the Umno-led government. Still, it went against Tun Dr M's stand that PPSMI should continue. In relation to the judgment made, RPK has written a nice piece entitled 'What did I tell you? Bodoh sombong!'
