SHAH ALAM, Aug 9 — Gobind Singh Deo stormed out of the Teoh Beng Hock inquest while muttering “bloody abuse of process,” as he left.
Earlier the counsel for Teoh family had requested to meet coroner Azmil Muntapha Abas in his chambers.
Gobind said it was urgent and the court was adjourned.
Gobind together with counsel for the Selangor government Malik Imtiaz Sarwar met the coroner in chambers for about an hour.
Also at the meeting was Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) prosecution chief Datuk Abdul Razak Musa and counsel Tan Hock Chuan, who was been appointed by the Attorney-General's Chambers to aid the coroner in the inquest.
However Gobind was later seen re-entering the court before he packed his bag and left.
“Something has happened and I am not impressed,” he said outside the court.
He told reporters that he need time to speak to Teoh family before he speaks to the press.
The inquest has yet to resume.
Meanwhile Malaysiakini reported that Gobind was informed this morning about documents which revealed "significant" matters that the prosecution had withheld and had been in the prosecution's possession since last October.
Hmm...something very fishy here...Why are these documents withheld? Will there be justice for Teoh Beng Hock in the court of Malaysia?
