Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand, who is hired by the Selangor government to testify in the Teoh Beng Hock inquest, has arrived in the country under a veil of secrecy and tight security provided by the state.
Dr Pornthip (left) finally arrived at about 12.30pm today, after she first decided against appearing in April this year following “advice” from her employer the Thai Justice Ministry to cancel the trip due to “political pressure” from the Malaysian government and had told Malaysiakini then that she was also denied entry into Kelantan earlier this year to investigate a case related to killings in Southern Thailand.
Based on her observation of the first post mortem in October last year, Dr Pornthip had stated that there was an 80 percent chance that Teoh's death was a result of homicide.
