By now, Zaid Ibrahim's open letter to PM is all over the blogosphere.
After 'Dear Mr Prime Minister', he said:
In our proclamation of independence, our first Prime Minister gave voice to the lofty aspirations and dreams of the people of Malaya: that Malaya was founded on the principles of liberty and justice, and the promise that collectively we would always strive to improve the welfare and happiness of its people.
Then, he went on talking about the birth of ISA in 1960 to deal with the communist threat and even after the communist threat was non-existent, it was and is still being used to stifle legitimate opposition and silent lawful dissent. (To read the letter in its entirety, click here)
Truly, Zaid Ibrahim is an epitome of world-class Malaysian! A man who who walks the talk. YEAH!
