The Hindraf supporters were denied access to greet the Prime Minister via the public queue at PWTC today. Before that, they were ushered into one of the dining halls, unable to meet the PM. Undeterred, they exited and re-entered via the entry meant for VIPs, causing a loud commotion as security personnel tried to restrict them. (Read all about the commotion here at The Star Online).
Finally, they were once again allowed to join the public queue to greet the Prime Minister. Malaysiakini said PM smiling throughout and accepted Hindraf's Hari Raya card' when they met the PM.
I don't understand. Right from the start, they were not allowed to join the public queue, much less to greet the Prime Minister. So, what is this?
Who caused the commotion? Obviously, those who wanted to stop them. “If they come in peace and harmony there shouldn’t be any problems,” said Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar. Obviously, they came in peace. The problem was they were being stopped, Mr. Syed Hamid Albar.
