Today, Malaysiakini carried a story about Jeffrey Kitingan's two-year detention under ISA in the early 90s - that he was always hungry. “It was not because we were not given any food. Our rations were meagre,” recalled Kitingan, who is Sabah PKR chief. “So we had to supplement our rations.”
Luckily for him and four of his fellow inmates, they managed to catch a small snake on two occasions and a bird on a third occasion. They set a trap to one side of the courtyard where they were allowed to exercise, and made a barbecue of the animals over a crude fire.
Mmm...I can imagine that the barbecued snakes and bird must have been the most delicious meals ever. Better than the two years of standard fare put together! According to Kitingan, the menu during his time in detention was a slice of bread, a bit of butter and sugar, and a plastic cup of coffee for breakfast, lunch - plain rice with either a small cut fish or chicken and dinner same as lunch.

Well, can't expect caviar and shark fin soup right?
Anyway, can our Home Minister have the same food like RPK's having for 2 years.
