Penang CM slams the opposition - www.malaysiakini.com

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today took to task critics for making a big fuss on the state's Korean trade mission while being "strangely quiet" over the billion-ringgit scandals at the federal government level - namely, Maybank's purchase of two distressed foreign banks, purchase of Eurochopter Cougar helicopters without flight tests or physical inspection and the High Speed Broadband project without open tender...Lim said, "They are criticising the current state government because they thought we were also like them. Just because they wasted public funds on foreign trips by going for sightseeing in the name of trade missions during their time, they thought we too would do the same." Well, I guess the BN opposition of Penang is green with envy now that they do not get to enjoy all the FREE trips. So, they are very free now. Free to criticise. Lim Guan Eng, famous for his CAT (Competency, Accountability & Transparency) administration, said the budget for the trip would be divulged in next few days. So, let's wait and see then. Hopefully, Malaysiakini will report on it. 8)
