Malaysiakini: Can plan for more police in Ipoh and not in KT only?

Ipoh Barat MIC treasurer N Sitamparam, 64, was hacked to death by several men during a robbery in his house in Jalan Wayang, Buntung, early this morning. Ipoh police district chief ACP Azisman Alias said Sitamparam was found dead by police after they received a call from neighbours. "The incident happened at 2am when he was attacked and hacked by several men with machetes," he was quoted as saying by Bernama. (Mkini - Ipoh MIC leader hacked to death)
While gruesome crime is on the rise, we have 6,000 policemen on duty for KT by-election. Reason for the heavy police presence in KT is past election violence. The IGP said "When there is no police, people complain, but when we deploy, they say it's too many," said Musa after attending a briefing by Terengganu police chief Datuk Shukri Dahlan. He also gave an assurance that there will be no shortage of police personnel in other districts due to the large deployment in Kuala Terengganu. "We have our way of planning," he said. WOW. What wonderful planning, I must say, by the police. Let us temporarily stay in KT - nowadays the safest place to be in!
