Malaysiakini: Murder accused cop and torture cops

In Malaysiakini today, two top news about 'criminal' cops:
Murder accused Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri told the High Court that he last saw Altantuya Shaariibuu when he left the Mongolian woman with the second accused, Sirul Azhar Umar, at Bukit Aman on the night she was killed, between Oct 19 and 20. Azilah said while breaking fast with his girlfriend Lance Corporal Rohaniza Roslan, he received a phone call from political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda who told him that Altantuya Shaariibuu was causing a commotion outside his (Razak's) house in Bukit Damansara. (Read Azilah provides alibi, Sirul last person with Altantuya) Meanwhile, seven policemen were charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today in connection with the case of a 27-year-old man and 18-year-old teenager being allegedly scalded with hot water at the Brickfields police district headquarters. The seven were charged under Section 506 and Section 304 of the Penal Code for collectively committing an act of criminal intimidation and voluntary causing hurt to extort a confession. (Read 'Hot water torture': Seven cops charged).

To be fair, these cops are innocent until proven guilty. Besides, our beloved DPM once said, 'Our perception of crime must change.' ;)

Actually, the public is not worried by the rise in crime. Instead, the public is very concerned for the police force.
