As expected, PKR rallied around its de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim as the latest snippet from a "sex video" allegedly involving him was posted on YouTube today, with his family in the frontline.
PKR vice-president and Anwar's eldest daughter, Nurul Izzah Anwar, maintained that the person in the video is not her father, saying, "My family and I stand firmly with Anwar Ibrahim, and we maintain that the actor is not Anwar.
In a text message to Malaysiakini, Nurul Izzah said, "This latest, most disgusting effort is an attempt to destroy our fighting spirit and derail reforms so desperately needed in this nation. We shall not bow to nor be cowed by such tactics."
